The much-awaited K-drama My Demon, starring Song Kang and Kim Yoo-Jung, is all set to premiere on November 24, 2023, at 10 p.m. KST on SBS and Netflix. The series follows the story of chaebol heiress Do Do-Hee (Kim Yoo-Jung) and demon Jung Gu-Won (Song Kang). The former doesn’t trust anyone but eventually falls in love with the demon. He, however, spends his life making deals with humans while holding their souls as collateral.

SBS released a new trailer for My Demon, which teases the relationship between Do-Hee and Gu-Won. The duo enters into a contractual marriage after the latter loses his powers, and it raises suspicions among Do-Hee’s employees. The latter also employs Gu-Won as her bodyguard, and the demon vows to protect her at any cost for his own sake.

The newly released trailer begins with Do-Hee, the CEO of Mirae Group, accepting an award for Businessperson of the Year. The narrator explains that she began a dessert company while she was still in college, and it has grown immensely in seven years. This company also ranked first in the industry.

Do-Hee is driven by her motivation to work and nothing else. As an introduction to her character, she says, “I’m married to my job. I’m not even the least bit interested in men.” However, she is a bit reluctant to accept this statement after looking at demon Gu-Won’s abs. This indicates that her motto might not stay true for long.

Eventually, as the demon loses powers and potentially gives it to Do-Hee, he follows her around to save himself. She employs him as her bodyguard, and the duo are seen together all the time. This raises suspicion among the company’s employees about the two probably having a secret affair. As the two hide in a room, one employee says, “The CEO and Jung Gu Won…don’t they seem suspicious to you? In my opinion, they’re definitely dating.”

Do-Hee worries that these suspicions are impacting her active social life and professional career, and might pose trouble to Gu-Won as well. However, by the end of the trailer, the demon holds her hand and says, “I don’t mind.”

To watch how their love story comes to be, don’t forget to tune in to My Demon on November 24, 2023, on SBS and Netflix.
