Lil Kim has got everyone talking since she teased her upcoming memoir. In case you missed it, during a recent Instagram Live, the rap star gave fans an update on her book titled, “The Queen Bee.”
After working on it for years, Kim, 59, told viewers that “My book has been done.” She added, “When we post our presales, we be surpassing the Bible. And that’s crazy. And the thing is, it’s like the Bible, like I don’t take that lightly. I already know that.” Although it was initially set to drop in 2021, Kim told fans that she will write a letter to her fans and reveal what she’s gone through in getting them the book. She added, “Y’all really deserve to know what’s going on.”
While many of her supporters are excited to get their hands on a copy, others couldn’t get past Kim comparing her upcoming book to the Bible. Some social media users even noticed fellow rapper Fox Brown may have also laughed at Kim’s comments. Foxy made an Instagram post that read “BIBLE 🤦🏾♀️😂.” Now, of course, the possible shade didn’t come as a surprise given their past beef. However, Claudia Jordan was just not here for it. After expressing how she wants Foxy to leave Kim alone, the “Tables Will Turn” rapper slid in Jordan’s DM’s to warn her. However, the clapback queen did not back down!
“Somebody better warn you nobody ass b*tch” Foxy says to Claudia. The actress then replied, “Lol!!!! What you gonna do to me?? Fight me like your career has been fighting success as of late!? No one is scared of and old bitch, Trust me I am one too! Now fall back and stop embarrassing yourself dummy.” The ladies continued to go at and take a look below.
Aside from the drama, Lil Kim seems pretty happy about dropping her book especially after all these years trying to get it out!
During her Live, Kim also spoke about dealing with the publishing industry. She said, “It’s like some crazy s—t going on behind the scenes,” she said. “You have to be really careful when you deal with these book companies because they try to, like, literally take advantage of you.”
So When Is The Book Hitting The Shelves?
Although she didn’t share a release date yet, back in July she confirmed that the book was finally done. “It’s been a long journey, beehive,” she posted via X. “Edits are finally done. Thank you to my bestie/soulmate, Marc Jacobs, for doing my forward.”
The publisher, Hachette Books, also currently lists the memoir as arriving on September 23, 2025. It reads. “A true page-turner from start to finish, The Queen Bee is every bit as fierce, empowering, and badass as the woman at the heart of this story — and firmly cements her legacy as a true feminist icon.”
