Although everyone is entitled to their own opinion, fans are just not happy about what singer Bebe Rexha had to say during a topic about female rappers.
During a recent Instagram Live, the “I’m A Mess” songstress expressed her preference for Nicki Minaj as a rapper over Cardi B. She cited Nicki’s writing skills, longevity, and her overall talent.“I like Cardi because I f—k with her personality, I like how real she is, but like with Nicki, I just feel like the talent the writing talent, the musicality, the artistry…untouchable.” Rexha and her friend went on to say that Cardi doesn’t write “95 percent” of her lyrics, while Nicki Minaj writes “all her own stuff.” They also noted there’s a “difference between being a rapper and a performer.”
Despite that, Rexha and her friend made it clear that their intentions were not to pit the two musicians against each other, which is something that often happens. Instead, Rexha claimed she wanted to highlight her preference for Nicki’s rapping ability while showing appreciation to Cardi for staying authentic and relatable. Of course, with all this being said, Rexha became a trending topic on Twitter as many are slamming her for even making this topic a thing again. Here’s what some folks had to say:
“Bebe Rexha putting Cardi down in order to bring Nicki up is very telling this the same woman who said if she was on a sidewalk people wouldn’t know who she was,” One user said. Another tweeted, “They need to stop putting women against each other” & Bebe compares Nicki & Cardi unprovoked seconds later💀 That microphone must’ve knocked a few brain cells loose.” A third added, “Here we go… Bebe wasn’t even the one to bring up the writing stuff, all she did was say what she loved about Cardi and what she admires about Nicki, the second the conversation was about to turn into negativity she cut it off. stop twisting her words.”
“I like Cardi, but Nicki…” IIIIIH KKKKKKKKKKKKK

They could’ve kept the conversation at Nicki. I feel like Bebe also doesn’t believe that Cardi writes her music because why couldn’t you defend cardi when your stanking ass friend mentioned writing… like Bebe doesn’t get help either

I love bebe but that opinion sucks, she collabed with cardi, nicki and doja as well and now she props one person over the rest rap girls, doja was even out of the talk for some reasons

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s beef have gone on for years. They even nearly came to blows at a Fashion Week party in 2018. While the rap stars try their best not to feed into the online drama, conversations like Bebe Rexha’s and online debates continue to let their rap beef linger.
Aside from the unnecessary problems, Cardi B and Nicki B are still thriving in their careers. Not only is Cardi is gearing up to release more music by the end of the year, but Nicki Minaj is also getting ready to drop new album, “Pink Friday 2,” on her birthday, December 8.
