Andy Cohen Calls Out Jennifer Aydin Body-Shaming a Fan

Andy Cohen isn’t happy with the behavior Jennifer Aydin exhibited at BravoCon earlier this month.

During a recent episode of his radio show, Andy, 55, reacted to Jennifer’s body-shaming of a fan while also addressing Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky‘s separation, the “gamble” he took on the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast, Jenna Lyons‘ absence at the fan convention in Las Vegas, and more.

While chatting with Entertainment Tonight at BravoCon, Andy was asked if he’s found love.

“Well, I have found the two greatest loves of my life with my kids,” Andy replied, signaling to four-year-old son Ben and one-year-old daughter Lucy.

He then noted that when it comes to romance, he’s not giving up.

“Listen, dude, I am on Hinge, Grindr, Tinder, and Raya,” he laughed. “Something’s gotta hit.”

Although there have been plenty of rumors over the years in regard to potential additions to the Real Housewives franchise, Andy said he’s “good” at the moment.

“Every time Bravo calls and says, ‘What do you think about developing here or there,’ I do feel like we’re very good right now,” he shared. “You might laugh at me if I say we don’t want to oversaturate the market because there are 10. I think we’re very good right now. It’s a good moment in Housewives world.”

Amid BravoCon, reports began swirling about Jenna, 55, and her possible exit from the Real Housewives of New York City after fans noticed she was the only cast member who wasn’t in attendance. But according to Andy, her absence was “not any great statement on her relationship to the show or with us.”

“We have a great relationship and I hope she comes back,” he stated.

As for RHONJ, Andy admitted he took a gamble when he brought the season 13 cast back for season 14 — despite Teresa Guidice and Melissa Gorga‘s estrangement.

“We took a gamble by just bringing everyone back and seeing how everyone would roll,” he said. “I mean you do truly have two families that hate each other’s guts and it’s, you know, two factions of people.”

Moving on to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Andy revealed that despite reports to the contrary, he and his production team were already filming when news broke that Kyle and Mauricio had separated.

“We were already capturing it, it was a topic for the entire season,” he confirmed. “When news broke that they were separating — I mean this was very much happening as the show was going. You will see.”

And if they hadn’t been in production, Andy said cameras would have been picked back up.

“Kyle is a huge part of the Bravo family and we’ve been following her story for 13, 14 years. Yeah, so this was a big one,” he explained.

Meanwhile, on Andy Cohen Live, Andy was heard reacting to Jennifer’s body-shaming of a BravoCon fan who shaded her for being up Teresa’s butt.

“Has Jennifer apologized or anything?” Andy asked after the story was told, via X, formerly known as Twitter.

But in response, his co-host confirmed that Jennifer not only didn’t apologize but doubled down, informing the fan that there were repercussions for her behavior and slamming her, who she previously identified as a “big boy,” as a “whale” who “waddled out.”

“No! No! Oh, this is very disappointing,” Andy admitted. “I don’t like this. I don’t like this … That’s a fan that paid to be there.”

That said, Andy did acknowledge that the fan wasn’t exactly nice.

“The way they asked the question, ‘Why are you so far up Teresa’s a**,’ it’s not nice … But it doesn’t deserve making fun of someone’s size. They’re not saying, ‘You’re a horrible person.’ That’s nothing worse than I’ve ever asked,” he continued.

“Come on, Jenn,” he added. “Don’t double down.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime in early 2024.
