Summary
The Frasier reboot episode 7’s official synopsis confirms Lilith’s appearance and reveals what to expect from it. As the Paramount+ endeavor enters its final stretch, it is finally able to explore other narratives besides the show’s premise. That includes the inclusion of a few much-anticipated guest stars, including Bebe Neuwirth who is stepping back into the shoes of Frasier’s ex-wife and Freddy’s mother, Lilith.
Not long after Frasier attempts to get back to dating in the Frasier reboot episode 6, he is now set for a reunion with Lilith, per the official synopsis for episode 7, which is released by Paramount+. Aptly titled “Freddy’s Birthday,” the outing will see the former lovers bicker once again while trying to one-up each other in the eyes of their only son. Read the full episode description below:
Frasier discovers that Freddy has been seeing Lilith behind his back, setting up a battle between the two exes for their grown son’s affection.
What To Expect From Lilith and Frasier’s Reunion In Episode 7
For context, the last time that Frasier and Lilith shared the screen together was in the original Frasier season 11, episode 9, “Guns N’ Neuroses.” When they parted ways, they were cordial with each other — if not better. While they poked fun at each other, they were almost friends who happened to be involved with each other. Given this, it’s interesting that it sounds like their dynamic now is more contentious.
In any case, considering the fact that it involves Freddy, it’s understandable that they become competitive for his birthday. Lilith is getting protective of her territory, having lived in Boston and raised his son in Beantown. Meanwhile, Frasier is trying to make up for all the lost time and it doesn’t help that Lilith suddenly appears to remind him of what he missed with Freddy. Considering the pair’s penchant for bickering, expect some intense verbal back-and-forth between them.
As Frasier and Freddy become closer in the reboot, it’s curious if Lilith has a future in the reboot beyond her upcoming appearance. Neuwirth has made a cameo multiple times in the original Frasier, so it’s possible that Paramount+ is planning the same thing in the revival. If that’s the case, then there may also be a chance that ultimately, Frasier ends to get back together with Lilith.
