Brandi Mallory, known for being one of the stars of ‘Extreme Weight Loss’ has passed away at 40. Her cause of death is currently unknown.

In a report by Page Six, Mallory passed away on Nov.9 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Her memorial service will be held in Lithonia on Nov. 19 and her death was confirmed by one of her sorority sisters on Friday. “It is with great sadness that we inform our CAU Family that our linesister Brandi Mallory, 31-Σ-11, passed away yesterday. This was sudden and unexpected,” the post reads.
“Brandi was a bright light. Her beautiful smile lit up any room she entered. She loved with her whole heart and embraced life’s challenges head-on. Her talent as a make-up artist opened doors for her and made room for her to expand and grow.”

Mallory made her debut on Season 4 of the ABC reality series in 2014, and she later revealed in 2018 that she joined the weight loss show after one of her sorority sisters passed away at 29. She initially auditioned to be on “The Biggest Loser,” but wasn’t picked to join the cast but producers suggested she joined “Extreme Weight Loss” instead.
“I was literally waking up every day like… this may be my last day waking up, like, I don’t know what’s going to happen for me. When it’s playing on your mind that I might need to do something about my weight, because I’m afraid I might die too, then you might need to pay attention to something like that.”
Fans of Mallory left heartfelt comments under a recent Instagram post after learning about her passing. One person wrote, “Brandi, I’m so sorry to hear of your passing! May you rest in peace, beautiful! I am so shocked right now! May God give your family peace and comfort.” Another commented, “Such a light 🕊 I can’t believe this 💔 I hope you are lighting heaven up 🙏🏾”
