Amid the federal lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend Cassie, Diddy is allegedly listed as a subject of a “secret” NYPD investigation in a case involving sexual assault.

According to TMZ, there is an open and active case that allegedly listed the mogul as a subject but it is unclear if Cassie made a criminal complaint since it reportedly involves sexual assault. Sources told the outlet that the case file has been locked since the details are sensitive. “The NYPD takes sexual assault and rape cases extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we can perform a comprehensive investigation, and offer support and services to survivors,” their statement reads.
Apparently, investigators are actively seeking for other alleged victims due to the nature of the case. As previously reported, Cassie, real named Casandra Ventura, filed an explosive federal lawsuit against Diddy which details allegations of abuse and rape throughout their ten year relationship.

The singer said she was ready to tell her side of the story as the 35-page lawsuit documented the beginning of her career with Bad Boy Records when she was 19 and up until the end of their relationship.
“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”
Diddy’s lawyer has responded to the allegations and has denied any allegations of abuse and rape after news of the lawsuit made headlines and said Cassie has been allegedly demanding $30 million for six months.
“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”
However, Cassie’s lawyers said they were already speaking with Diddy’s legal team before the information went public and claimed he allegedly offered her a six figure lump sum to keep the lawsuit from going public.
The former couple dated from 2007 to 2018 but it is unknown about the official details about their breakup as it has been kept relatively private.
