Drake has snatched the title belt back from Kendrick Lamar as the 6 God now wears the crown for the highest-grossing rap tour ever.

According to Touring Data, Drizzy eclipsed Kendrick Lamar’s Big Steppers Tour by earning $129.7 million for his It’s All A Blur Tour.

Drake will end up shattering the record and setting the bar even higher because that figure only accounts for 30 of the 72 shows he’s done on tour so far. When the numbers come in for the other 42 dates, expect the $129.7 million figure to be more than double.

Going into this tour run, some speculated that Drake should’ve done stadiums but it looks as if the arena strategy has worked out just fine for the OVO boss.

.@Drake’s “It’s All a Blur” becomes the highest-grossing tour by a rapper in history with $129.7 million in 30/72 shows, surpassing @kendricklamar’s “The Big Steppers” (2022).

The Big Steppers Tour began in July 2022 following the release of Kendrick Lamar’s long-awaited fifth album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers and came to an end that September having earned $110.9 million from 929,000 tickets across 73 shows.

Drake will be hitting the road next year with J. Cole for 18 shows together (22 in total) on the It’s All a Blur — Big As the What? Tour.

Cole and Drake will begin their co-headlining tour on January 18 in Denver, Colorado, and Cole will continue with the trek through March 10 in Lexington, Kentucky. The 6 God will perform the final four shows of the tour — including a Long Island show just 7.7 miles from Cole’s alma mater, St. John’s University — without the North Carolina rhymer.

Drake will have some new music to perform on the tour as hisScary Hours 3 EP pack is set to arrive on Friday (November 17).

J. Cole’s manager Ibrahim “IB” Hamad explained why the Dreamville-OVO tour will be rumbling through secondary markets with no shows in major cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Miami.

“I feel your pain but this is not a major city run, the run is for the secondary market we don’t get to go to as much and do shows like how we use to. All Love to DC though,” IB replied to one fan.

However, the Dreamville co-founder is excited to hit some of the markets often glanced over on tours that he and J. Cole used to run through when they were grinding before his leap to superstardom.

“Gotta pull back up to some of those markets we use to grind through on the come up. Can’t wait to see those cities again, been a minute,” he added.
