Teddi Mellencamp takes a direct shot at Sutton Stracke’s ego after her latest antics and outbursts on RHOBH.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp continues to throw shade at former co-star Sutton Stracke at every opportunity.
On the November 2 episode of Teddi’s Two T’s in a Pod podcast, she and co-host Tamra Judge discussed RHOBH and, more importantly, Sutton’s colorful personality and uneventful dating life.
Oddly enough, Teddi seems to create more drama with Housewives on her podcast than she ever did during her three-year stint on RHOBH.
Last month, on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Teddi insinuated that Sutton has a drinking problem, which the RHOBH star denied.
Now, Teddi is coming for Sutton’s dismal dating life as she searches for love with the help of a matchmaker on RHOBH.
Sutton’s search for love is her main storyline for season 13 of RHOBH. The 52-year-old, who recently met with a matchmaker, believes her troubles in love stem from her being too bright.
According to Sutton, her intellect is “superior to most,” which makes dating hard. She also theorizes that her modest fashion choices and penchant for behaving “strangely” when nervous may turn off possible suitors. This is to blame for why Sutton is a “one-date wonder.”
Tamra gives Sutton credit for being “self-aware.”
“She’s very self-aware. She says she doesn’t tend to click with people and does not get asked out for a second date. She says it must be because she is intimidating. And she doesn’t dress slutty. Therefore, she doesn’t get asked out on second dates,” Tamra notes.
However, Teddi doesn’t see it.
“I am not being biased on Sutton. I’m really trying to understand, and it’s because I’ve never really been able to understand her,” the 42-year-old explains.
She continues:
“She says that her intellect is bigger than most. I feel like the fact that she even would say her intellect is bigger than most, that means so is her ego. Maybe it’s not the cat sweater; it’s the ego.
It wasn’t what her requirements are [or] how she said she needs this from a man; she doesn’t need this. She knows what she wants. What I didn’t particularly like is the way she spoke to the matchmaker.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County star attempted to play devil’s advocate, pointing out: “But you know what, I’ll have to say in her defense, it takes a lot of balls to openly admit that she doesn’t get a second date. And she’s awkward.”
“But I mean, we all see that. How does that take balls? It’d be like me saying, oh, I’m annoying. No shit. How does it take balls to admit the truth?” Teddi said, to which Tamra replied, “Well, sometimes people are not self-aware, and they don’t see it.”
Teddi concluded, “She’s obviously not fully self-aware if she’s gonna say that she’s not ended up with a guy because she’s smarter and her intellect is higher than all of them. Um, it makes me wanna meet [Sutton’s ex-husband} Christian.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
