Actress Paula Jai Parker is under fire and being called out for “victim blaming” after sharing some “tone deaf” tweets following Cassie’s recent, rape, sex trafficking, and abuse allegations against her mogul ex-boyfriend Diddy.
As we previously shared, on Thursday (Nov. 16), Sean “Diddy” Combs was hit with a massive lawsuit by his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura. In her filing, she claimed that after meeting Diddy in 2005 he began a pattern of control and abuse that included plying her with drugs, beating her, and forcing her to have sex with a succession of male prostitutes while he filmed the encounters.

In Cassie’s suit, it claims that in 2018, when the relationship was nearing an end, Diddy allegedly forced his way into Cassie’s home and raped her. In a statement, Cassie has shared, “After years in silence and darkness. I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”
Diddy’s lawyer, Ben Brafman, has since denied any truth to the claims of rape, abuse, and sex trafficking. Brafman said, “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’ reputation and seeking a payday.”

After Cassie’s lawsuit went public, several stars joined users on social media leaving shocked reactions. Among 50 Cent, Azealia Banks, and fellow Bad Boy Records singers Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and D. Woods (who were all in the group Danity Kane), the latest celebrity to speak out is actress Paula Jai Parker, notable for her roles in ‘The Proud Family,’ ‘Hustle & Flow,’ ‘Friday,’ etc.).
Taking to her X account, Paula talked about being a sexual assault survivor herself, but also seemingly condemned Cassie for speaking out and filing a lawsuit against her alleged abuser. She began, “As an #SA victor, one would think I get it, but I don’t. I was a child, looking for nothing from anyone. But y’all called us #thirsty 4 protecting what’s mine but it ain’t thirsty when you forget 2protect ur behind?”
She added, “I’m sorry but I don’t get it, I used to be 19 and I was in the industry and I was quite capable of saying no. I wish someone would have said that to the 3yo me that couldn’t say no but by 19 we’re all strong enough to make choices that affect the rest of our lives. If you can’t say no, you’re not built for it. Take that midnight train now before you get yourself in trouble.”

The ‘Friday‘ actress added, “I’m not saying it didn’t happen I’m saying she wasn’t complaining about being his ‘woman’ and the fame that came [with] it. What goes on between man and woman is just that. At what point does pleasing ur ‘man’ become all this…only chicks dating freaky millionaires. #Freaky being the operative word.”
Paula Jai Parker continued her rant and said, “I’m trying so hard to see the victim here, but do sex slaves usually get to pick their sex partners in 5 hotels? I think y’all just don’t like him. But he didn’t invent the game he just plays it. Hubby thinks I don’t like her, but that’s not true. I don’t like chicks that take the easy route and get mad when it doesn’t pan out. God Bless the Child who’s got his own.”
Paul also noted, “But yes, I believe she deserves compensation. It was like a marriage, and she became accustomed to the lifestyle and after all that stuff she wrote she did, I don’t think he was ever really going to marry her, ew Did U read that [lawsuit]? It sounds like something out of a penny dreadful. I’m tired of women making poor choices that affect us all. Setting a precedent that leaves us vulnerable…Maybe I’m jaded cause I’m here, I live it and see it every day. The pretty ones with little talent take what they want while the rest of us depend on God. The Bible says bribery is ok in business. Give a lil 2 get ahead. So she did. He shoulda took the deal.”
