Yikes! Tyrese is blasting his ex-wife Samantha Lee again and calling her out for allegedly using their daughter to “get the bag.” To her $20,000 a month child support demand, he says, “We never spent $20,000 when we were together.”

It is no secret that Tyrese, born Tyrese Gibson, and his ex-wife Samantha Lee have been embroiled in a bitter battle ever since they separated and got divorced. Things went super left when it came down to child support, child custody, etc. The biggest issue that Tyrese has been pointing out is his ex-wife’s “unreasonable” demand for $20,000 a month in child support for their five-year-old daughter, Soraya Gibson.
Things got so nasty that Tyrese ended up appealing the child support case and dropped a song called “Love Transaction,” where he accused his ex-wife of using their baby girl “as a Chess piece in a dirty game.”

As we previously shared, The former couple first married in 2017 and ended things almost four years later in 2020; and from then on things got super messy. In 2021, Lee requested that her ex-husband give her $20,000 in monthly child support for their daughter, leading him to file a motion to halt his ex’s “unreasonable” divorce demands. At the time he claimed, “She left me while I was out of town filming a movie, now you’re demanding to take my life with you?”
Before her demands, Lee alleged that Gibson kicked her and their child out of his $4 million Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia mansion, “and then changed the locks.” However, he claimed that he changed the locks in September 2020 when it became clear to him that Lee “had abandoned the residence and absconded with the parties’ minor child.”
Since then, the former couple had been going back and forth in court over Lee’s divorce demands, and at one point, Gibson found himself held in contempt of court, with a judge ordering him to pay $636,000 in child support and lawyer fees.

After dropping his scathing song “Love Transaction, “Tyrese continued to speak on his “joke of marriage” with his ex-wife; and eventually Lee admitted that she was “the problem” in her relationship.
While speaking to her fans on a live-stream in early September, Lee said, “I’m looking back on relationships, y’all, and I see that I was the problem. Why was I the problem, Sam? I was the problem because I didn’t see me accurately. … Because I didn’t see myself well. … I didn’t see my value. … I didn’t see who I was .… I didn’t see those things. I think that I accepted things I shouldn’t have for way too long,” she added. “I allowed people to kind of dictate the terms in which I would accept without really having a great understanding of who I was. And therefore, I stayed in relationships way past their expiration date.”
She added, “Accepting the bare minimum, not realizing that there’s a part of you that feels like you only deserve the bare minimum. I’m not going into dating thinking, ‘Oh my God, I gotta make it work for him. He is the only option in my head.’ In my experience, that’s not true. It’s just not. But when I came in with that scarcity mindset, guess what? It was damaging. Because I’m trying to make things work for people that ain’t ‘posed to work. I’m not tryna make it work if it don’t work.”

Since Lee’s admission, Tyrese had been relatively quiet, until he recently did an interview with Joe Budden. During the sit-down, Tyrese again spoke on his wife’s demand for $20,000 a month in child support.
He denied ever influencing his wife to believe that their daughter, who was 1 at the time of their separation, needed $20,000 a month to survive. He said, “We never spent $20,000 on my daughter when we were together, and I had the money. Who spends that kind of money on a kid? She was 1 when she took my baby from me. We never spent $20,000 a month on our child and the credit card was wide open. So what the f**k do you suddenly need that kind of money for?”

While Tyrese’s interview went viral, his ex-wife Samantha Lee happened to upload a motivational post to her Instagram. She captioned the speech, “The Shocking Truth About Trust: My Hardest Lesson.” After social media caught wind of the clip, they assumed it was in response to Tyrese’s recent interview.
However, Lee cleared things up and said, “Y’all, this clip was inspired by a Bishop TD Jakes clip (clip is in my IG Story), not in response to anything! People are trying to connect dots that are absolutely unrelated. I truly just desire peace.”
Meanwhile, Tyrese wasn’t trying to hear none of that and went in again on his ex. He reposted her clip and said, “She wants to be famous, she wants the clout… She had a whole baby and faked a whole marriage to get the BAG… 3 law firms later… just hear her out guys… Please.”
He proceeded to ask, “Can you please run me my last name back? Soraya can keep it, that’s our angel… Your trash a** birth name is Samantha Schwalenberg.”
