Emma Watson makes rare red carpet appearance at Dare to Dream premiere

Emma Watson made a rare red carpet appearance on Sunday as she attended the We Dare To Dream premiere in London.

The Harry Potter star, 33, looked incredibly stylish in a trouser suit, which featured a deep V-neckline and an embellishment over the shoulder.

Watson, who is a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, joined Pakistani female education activist Malala Yousafzai, 26, at the Leicester Square event as well as director Waad Al-Kateab.

Watson completed her look with a pair of glittering high heels, pulled her dark locks back and off her face and wore a pop of colour with a bright red lip.

The actress appeared in high spirits as she stepped out and actively took part in an accompanying Q&A at the screening.

We Dare to Dream, a documentary, follows the story of the refugee Olympic team at the 2020 Olympics.

Angelina Jolie and John legend are executive producers on the project.

A synopsis on the film’s official website reads: “The film reveals their lives and hopes as they train to compete on the world stage, showing the fire and the drive of young people forced to leave their families, homes and countries of birth to build new lives out of nothing.”

“We Dare to Dream is a tale of resilience and inspiration, hardship and loss, hope and home.”

Watson is an advocate for women’s rights and gender equality and in 2014 was appointed a U.N. Women Goodwill ambassador.

She previously spoke about being criticised for her work and support of feminism, telling Elle: “There is a level of criticism that comes with being an actress and a public figure, which I expect, but once you take a stance on something like feminism, that’s a completely different ball game.”

But she added that she won’t let the critics deter her.

“Feminism can be humorous, and we all have a different way of approaching that. I often wonder what mischief I can make to spread the word in a playful way. You can’t take everything in life seriously, can you?”
