It’s official! Taylor Armstrong is leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County after just one season.
After making Real Housewives history as the first cast member to transition from one franchise to another, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member, 52, shared a statement on her Instagram page, confirming that while she made “real friendships” amid filming on season 17, she will not be returning for season 18.
“Loved spending time with the ladies of [RHOC] and thankful I got to give the viewers an update on my life. I’ve made some real friendships that I cherish. Wishing the ladies all the best for season 18,” Taylor wrote in her November 29 message to her fans and followers.
She then signaled to her IMDb drama with Heather Dubrow, 54, joking that the 17th season of RHOC would be added to her actor page.
“P.S. Adding season 17 to my IMDb,” she noted.
Following the announcement, Taylor was met with supportive messages from her now-ex-castmates.
“I love you SO much,” wrote Jennifer Pedranti, 46, who was also new to the show for season 17.
“Love you more., Big Daddy!!!” Taylor replied.
“No … you will be missed Taylor,” said Tamra Judge, 56, also adding that the two of them will be “friends forever” with a hashtag.
“From BSM to OC – so thankful to have had you by my side. See you next week,” Taylor responded.
Just before Taylor confirmed she would not be a part of season 18, a casting report was shared on Instagram.
“Things are happening in the OC! Season 18 will begin production in about 6 weeks time! Expect to see the entire full time cast back with a new face in the mix!” Dorinda Deadly announced on Instagram. “It’s being reported that Taylor has not been asked back for the eighteenth [installment] however [rumors] are swirling that [Vicki Gunvalson] will be back!”
The outlet also said that Alexis Bellino, 46, could be returning.
“Alexis has been more prominent in the Bravosphere as of late having shown up at BravoCon and attending Kathy Hilton’s Christmas Party!” they shared. “Who would you like to see leave/join the cast ahead of Season 18!?”
No word yet on when The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 will premiere.
