Laing Le Wong, 32, and her husband, Xie Peng, 40, hosted the unconventional wedding theme after tying the knot on Sunday. According to UNILAD, the couple only spent $2,300, including a KFC-only buffet and a fried chicken bouquet. Wong said she reached out to the company, hoping they would gift her a wedding present before the ceremony and they were happy to foot the bill after a manager learned about her disability.
She suffers from a disease that results in defective blood vessels in her brain, which took away her ability to walk. The company paid for half of her wedding food and provided decorations for the reception, which included a Zinger spicy chicken sandwich beanbag chair.
