Aussie icon Chris Hemsworth has completely transformed for his new role as Immortan Joe in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the latest addition to the film series.
George Miller, the Australian Director, has released the highly anticipated sneak peek into his next film of the series, sending fans into a frenzy.
Hemsworth, 40, appeared almost unrecognisable in the trailer, featuring a beard, long hair and what looks like facial prosthetics.

Furiosa stars actress Anya Taylor-Joy in the lead role of Imperator Furiosa, where she is removed from her family and makes her way in the dystopian world.
“Whatever you have to do… however long it takes… promise me you’ll find your way home,” is what the future Imperator is told at the start of the trailer, revealing the film will pick up 45 years after the world collapsed.
The Young Furiosa after being taken, is now the property of a biker group led by Hemsworth who plays a villain.
When images of Hemsworth, released by Warner Bros. were taken on the film set in 2022 fans began to be unsure if was even him.

The film is a prequel to Fury Road, including the original Furiosa character, “As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus,” the film’s synopsis continues,
“Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”
Fans are excited to see Hemsworth play this new role. “Can’t wait for this, Chris as the bad guy is going to be good and finally he’s gonna show again the great actor that he is” one shared.

“It’s interesting that they gave Hemsworth a red cape. He still looks a bit like Thor, but slightly wrong,” added another.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is set to hit Australian cinemas on the 23rd of May, 2024. It is the fifth iteration of the series which started with the classic Mad Max led by Mel Gibson in 1929.
A new film will follow Furiosa called Mad Max: The Wasteland, which also plans to feature Hemsworth and Taylor-Joy.
