RHOP’s Karen Huger reveals that she can’t support co-star Robyn Dixon until she stops “lying” about her husband Juan Dixon’s drama.
The Grande Dame of Potomac, Karen Huger, has some tough love for her co-star and frenemy Robyn Dixon.
“Robyn and I have the most challenging relationship in the core group,” Karen tells Us Weekly while promoting season 8 of RHOP. “I want her to win, but I want her to stop lying. If she can’t stop lying, what I’d like Robyn to do is accept the fact that we don’t believe their lies.”
Over the past year, Robyn’s relationship with now-husband Juan Dixon has faced its fair share of ups and downs amid allegations that Juan has been cheating on the RHOP star with several women.
Earlier this year, as season 7 of RHOP concluded, a woman claimed she dated Juan after they met via social media. She further accused the former NBA star of paying for her hotel room when she visited him from Canada. Juan copped to paying for the woman’s hotel room, but only because she had lost her wallet. However, he denied anything happened between them.
As for Robyn, she backed up Juan’s side of the story. Juan came under further criticism when he was spotted out and about with his former female co-worker from Coppin State University. Juan and Coach Bre, aka Breanna Gross, were first seen together at the laundromat and later at the nail salon.
During the season 8 premiere of RHOP, Juan and Robyn both slammed the recent rumors he cheated with other women. However, the ladies of RHOP are buying what Juan and Robyn are selling and believe that Robyn is putting her head in the sand when it comes to the cheating allegations against Juan.
Karen insists she wants to support her co-star but can’t be there for Robyn until she “owns the truth.”
“Own it and stop being ridiculous about it,” she said. “Things happen in everyone’s marriage. I’ve been married for 27 years. It’s not easy, but she needs to put it at ease and especially if you’re going to be a member of this core group.”
The 60-year-old also addressed Robyn getting booed during the RHOP panel at BravoCon.
Despite Karen’s mixed feelings about Robyn, she felt RHOP fans at BravoCon went too far.
“I didn’t like the boos for Robyn. I don’t think she deserves that,” she explained. “I do think her feet need to be held to the fire, and I think Robyn lied and needs to stop lying … Look, I’m a grown woman. I’m triple 20 now, so I would’ve approached it differently. I would’ve said, “Look, stay out of my business. You may not agree with the way I’m doing it, but this is how it’s done in my home and in my relationship.’ Instead of giving us some cockamamie excuse when the receipt is right there.”
