Taylor Swift’s longtime publicist, Tree Paine, has released a statement slamming any rumours that Swift and her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn got married.
In a tweet posted on Dec. 1, the rep claimed that these longstanding rumours caused the singer “pain and trauma”.
The tweet reads: “Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind.”

She added: “This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”
Swift and ex-boyfriend Alwyn announced their shock split in early 2023 after six years, sending the internet into a frenzy of rumours.
The singer’s publicist directed this tweet at claims made by DeuxMoi, a gossip page attempting to claim that Swift married Alwyn in “either 2020 or 2021”

Deuxmoi is a popular Instagram account that re-posts celebrity blind items from anonymous sources and in replying to a post relating to Swift, made the claims of marriage.
Exposing Swifties for their continuous theories about the since split couples relationship, the anonymous post followed the release of Midnight’s bonus track, You’re Losing Me, which many fans believe to be written about Alwyn.
The anonymous source continued by suggesting that it might not have been a breakup song, but instead inspired by an “argument”.
Deuxmoi added a caption to this message writing,
“She DID have a ceremony in 2020 or 2021 in the UK and it was described to me as a ‘marriage’ by more than one person,” continuing, ‘It was NEVER made legal.’

“I will die on this hill! Put it on my tombstone! I have no reason to lie,” before adding,
“Just because she didn’t tell you guys about it in a song but just because she doesn’t sing about something doesn’t mean it didn’t happen!!!”
This post could have been inspired by the release of You’re Losing Me which sent fans into a frenzy this week, with many taking to social media to share their theories and opinions.
One shared, “Happy for people who wanted You’re Losing Me to be available to stream but I personally can’t listen to that song or I will think about [TRAIN DRIVES BY] [TIRES SCREECHING]-ing Joe Alwyn”.
