It seems as though Aquaman star Amber Heard simply can’t stay out of the crosshairs of the internet. However, Justice League director Zack Snyder doesn’t understand the hate.
Ever since the very messy trial with her ex-husband Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has become public enemy number 1 on the internet. With Heard set to have a fairly prominent role in the Aquaman sequel debuting later this month, the actress has gotten a tidal wave of hate from fans and commentators alike. It seems one of the only people not against Heard is Zack Snyder, who originally cast her as Mera in Justice League and is more than willing to work with her again in the future.
“I just don’t get it,” Zack Snyder revealed in a recent profile by The Hollywood Reporter. “If other people don’t like her, I don’t know what to say. I would work with her in a second.”
Amber Heard would be far from the only Justice League cast member to return for a new film by Zack Snyder. With the upcoming Aquaman sequel also likely to be her last due to the upcoming DC Universe reboot, here’s to hoping the actress can find the time to work with Snyder again through all the hate.
The SnyderVerse era is over for now
The term “SnyderVerse” refers to the interconnected film universe that Zack Snyder created, which began with Man of Steel and continued with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.
