Wow! Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds have announced their breakup after being together for 11 years.
Tracey broke the news on Instagram Sunday night (December 3) and revealed that they both came to the decision that they were better off as friends. Tracey shared a post of her and Deion on a red carpet and announced the news in her caption.

“To EVERYONE who has been there for us, supported us, and shown us love… We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared together. Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Thank you for being there for us ALL THESE YEARS! We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH!”
It didn’t take long for Deion to react to the news as well. The Colorado Buffaloes coach commented on Tracey’s post and said, “Love you, Tracey and you have been a true blessing to me. I appreciate the times we’ve shared and the laughs we’ve had. You are an amazing woman and a tremendous mother. God bless you with every endeavor and every step you take. You are HER. Tracey-Mack.”
If you’re not familiar with their relationship, The pair first met in 2012, when Sanders was attending the premiere of a movie, produced by Edmonds. They didn’t connect again until a business meeting brought them together a few months later. From there, the rest is history.
Back in August, Sanders did an interview with PEOPLE and expressed his love for Tracey. “It was a blessing for my life,” Sanders told PEOPLE of meeting Edmonds, whom he describes as a “classy, professional and a real woman.”
“I mean what she does, I don’t take for granted whatsoever, and the shows that she chooses to produce, they’re meaningful, they have substance, they’re informative and challenging, and I love that about it,” he shared.

Edmonds has had her hands on a lot of projects that a lot of people might not be familiar with.
Some of her accolades include BET’s first-ever reality TV series, College Hill. The show ran for six seasons and has since come back as College Hill: Celebrity Edition. Additionally, Edmonds produced Netflix’s End of the Road, BET’s Games People Play and The Postcard Killings.
Edmonds is also a former TV journalist. She co-hosted ExtraTV alongside Mario Lopez and Charissa Thompson from 2014 to 2017, during which she earned an Emmy Award.
