Alexis Bellino shared the full story behind her infamous pic with Shannon Beador’s ex-boyfriend John Janssen, and a source revealed more info on their budding romance.
According to rumor, Alexis will return to Real Housewives of Orange County – probably to incite chaos given that Shannon is a co-star (who, by the way, was sued by Alexis’ ex-husband). Meanwhile, John is likely smiling in the background, ready for his Bravo closeup.
Speaking with Teddi Mellencamp in an EXTRA interview via @bravosnarkside on Instagram, Alexis revealed more details behind her recent group pic with John at a restaurant.
The alum said it was “totally happenstance” that she and John met. “I was in my booth,” she shared. “He came in and sat here. People were like, ‘You guys need to talk.’”
“It was not planned,” insisted Alexis, who called the meeting “amazing.”
Alexis said she told her friends not to “post anything” because both she and John are “newly broken up.”
She also claimed they had been texting, and she denied that John wanted the photo to blow up online.
When asked why she was recently with ex-fiancé Andy Bohn, Alexis answered, “We’re still broken up … There’s no going back … It’s just, you can still be friends, right? … We did spend the holiday together only because I feel like it was something we needed for ourselves and our kids.”
Though Alexis claimed their relationship is “completely done,” she suggested “tomorrow” might feel different. And despite calling John a “good friend,” a recent source told PEOPLE they’re officially dating.
“Currently, they’re not using labels like boyfriend or girlfriend, but they’ve been spending a lot of time together and have been enjoying learning about each other,” said the insider.
“The two have been supportive companions as they navigate newly single life,” the source continued. “This common background paired with a mutual attraction has made it easy for Alexis and John to form a natural connection.”
