Kim Zolciak’s friends are embarrassed by her ongoing public divorce drama with her husband, Kroy Biermann: “Feel Sorry For The Kids!”
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann‘s divorce has been one of the ugliest splits the Bravoverse has seen in years, and now TMZ reports that friends of the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum want nothing to do with her amid the public train wreck that is her life.
Sources reveal that friends of Kim Zolciak are embarrassed by her and Kroy’s messy and very public divorce, especially regarding their four minor children. Those close to the former Bravo couple call the whole situation sad and note that they are worried about Kim Zolciak and Kroy’s children, who must watch the drama play out in their home and then relive it publicly via media coverage.
Due to this, Kim Zolciak’s friends have distanced themselves from her over the last several months. Insiders note that the constant fighting between Kim and Kroy has become like a game, with the RHOA OG enjoying the drama and public attention much more than Kroy.
As for speculation that the former Don’t Be Tardy couple are amplifying their divorce and combativeness in hopes of scoring a reality TV deal to help pull them out of their drowning financial debt, sources say that they have yet to be offered any deal by any network including Bravo.
Since their mutual divorce filings in May, things between the former Bravo couple have been UGLY. The cops have been called to their Georgia home multiple times – with their minor children being the ones behind the calls much of the time.
Just last week, one of Kim and Kroy’s children called the cops to their home following an explosive fight between them. Fast forward to this week when Kim and Kroy were cozied up for a Hibachi lunch date with their kids.
Kim and Kroy’s up-and-down relationship comes on the heels of their highly publicized money issues, which include credit card debt, millions owed in back taxes, unpaid car and mortgage payments.
The on-again, off-again couple is also on the verge of losing their home to foreclosure. Kim and Kroy put their Alpharetta, Georgia mansion on the market for $6 million in October as it was scheduled to go up for auction due to failed payment on November 7, 2023.
Recently, Kim and Kroy agreed to a deal with their mortgage lender, Truist Bank, to give them more time to offload their home before foreclosure, per Radar Online. Now, the two have until January 11, 2024, to sell their home before Truist Bank moves forward with the foreclosure proceedings.
In an affidavit to the bank, Kim begged for mercy for the sake of her children, who would be left homeless if she and Kroy aren’t able to sell their home and resolve their financial hardships with the proceeds from the sale.
The RHOA alum wrote:
“I am writing this affidavit today with a sense of urgency and a sincere request for your understanding and assistance in a matter of great importance to my family. Our primary concern revolves around the home that we share, in which we have invested not only our finances but also our memories…”
The former Bravo stars “strongly believe that the proceeds from its sale can help alleviate our financial difficulties and secure a stable future for our children. However, the impending threat of foreclosure is looming over us, and time is of the essence.”
“Kroy and I will face insurmountable financial hardships, and the most devasting consequence will be the impact on our children, who would be left homeless.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is expected to return for season 16 in 2024.
