For those who can’t decide between one more sick show at the end of festival season and finally hitting the slopes, Rise Music Festival is the best of both worlds.

This weekend it’s headed into its ninth iteration, offering a peak life adventure packed with international dance music legends alongside top-shelf contenders from the underground. Dynamite acts like Bicep, Sonny Fodera, Hybrid Minds, Hedex, Sigma, Hannah Laing, Jungle and more will throw down, all nestled in the sweet embrace of the French Alps.

Add to all that a chance to get ski or snowboarding lessons in one of the world’s most enviable travel destinations, and the siren’s call of Rise Music Festival quickly becomes difficult to ignore—even for those with little experience in the snow.

So what exactly is the secret sauce that makes Rise so special?

“The magic lies in the seamless fusion of 40-plus shows across three main stages and five intimate venues against the stunning backdrop of Les 2 Alpes, one of the best ski resorts in the world,” Jamie Thomson, the festival’s director, tells EDM.com. “Attendees face the delightful challenge of choosing from everything we have to offer throughout the week, creating unforgettable memories.”

Rise Music Festival

“Rise is just an unparalleled experience that really sets it apart from any music festival out there,” Thomson continues. “You have to experience it to really understand.”

To sample a few of the flavors that tastemakers of the electronic music scene are coming from far and wide to enjoy at Rise this year, check out the fest’s Spotify playlist below. It’s perfect for a workout, traveling or for getting some wiggles out on the dancefloor.

You can find tickets to Rise and more information on the festival’s website.
