“You f–king lying snake…you big booty woman”
Dave Portnoy has gone off the rails! In a new rant, The Barstool Sports founder who’s a well-known Taylor Swift fan is coming to the singer’s defense after she detailed how she moved to a different country all because of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
As we previously reported, Swift rehashed their past feud in a recent cover interview with TIME as their 2023 Person of the Year. Swift’s 2016 beef with Kim and her ex Ye stemmed from his controversial song “Famous,” in which he included derogatory lyrics about Swift. The incident sparked a public feud between the two artists, with Kardashian entering the fray by releasing a recording of the phone conversation on social media. Swift has denied that she had consented to it, but she was instead called a “liar” and a “snake” in a situation she told TIME she felt was “a career death” at the time. Sources close to the “Shake It Off” artist said she has yet to receive an apology from the reality star.
Meanwhile, Mr. Portnoy has caught wind of Swift’s new cover story and he has a whole lot to say about it. In a mashup video, Portnoy explains how he’s always had Taylor’s back in “the whole Kanye [West] thing.” Portnoy continued saying, “Kim Kardashian… edited the phone call to make it seem like Taylor Swift’s a liar… you f–king lying snake. This is f–king jail time… you big booty woman… Kim Kardashian should be thrown in prison. I just hate f–king injustice and scumbags and f–king dishonest treacherous leaches.”
That’s not all he said, “Just shut up or own up to it,” Portnoy said, referring to Kardashian’s denial that she edited a video of Ye and Swift’s past phone call.”
In 2020 Kim tweeted “To be clear, the only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that ‘Kanye never called to ask for permission…’ They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied the word ‘bitch’ was used without her permission.”

Further explaining the incident, Swift said, “Make no mistake—my career was taken away from me,” she told TIME. “You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar. That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”
Swift continued to reflect on the situation saying, “It’s not lost on me that the two great catalysts for this happening were two horrendous things that happened to me,” she said. “The first was getting canceled within an inch of my life and sanity. The second was having my life’s work taken away from me by someone who hates me.”
Swift concluded the topic with, “Nothing is permanent. So I’m very careful to be grateful every second that I get to be doing this at this level, because I’ve had it taken away from me before. There is one thing I’ve learned: My response to anything that happens, good or bad, is to keep making things. Keep making art.. But I’ve also learned there’s no point in actively trying to quote unquote defeat your enemies. Trash takes itself out every single time.”
