Since AllAboutTRH broke the news that Alexis Bellino and John Janssen were dating earlier this week, several Bravolebs have spoken out about the news, including Vicki Gunvalson.
Now, Shannon Beador and Jeff Lewis are the latest Bravo stars to share their feelings on the surprising news about Alexis and John‘s relationship.
The longtime Real Housewives of Orange County star tells E! News that she’s not pleased that her ex-boyfriend is dating Alexis.
In fact, Shannon Beador admits she is baffled, considering John previously said he doesn’t want to be in the public eye.
“I’m not going to lie, I’ve been hurt,” the 59-year-old told E! News on Wednesday, December 6. “I’ve been hurt a lot in the last couple of weeks because, No. 1, John said that he didn’t want to be in the public eye, and he’s thrust himself more into the public eye at this point. So, I’m quite confused about that.”
She continued: “I don’t know how to process it. How many Orange County Housewives have there been? Is that your dating pool?”
Shannon also admitted that she was surprised John would spark any relationship with Alexis, given her 2018 legal drama with Alexis’ ex-husband, Jim Bellino.
“John is very well aware of a lawsuit that I was involved in with Jim Bellino, and Alexis was involved in that lawsuit,” Shannon added. “I was financially and emotionally devastated for years. And I won. But it devastated me financially. And I’m a single mom. John’s aware of that.”
Meanwhile, Jeff Lewis tells Page Six that Shannon Beador is doing “great” amid all the attention John and Alexis’ new relationship is getting in the press.
“I think she’s doing great. And I’m privy to all the personal information, and I think she’s doing really, really well,” Jeff explained before noting that he was initally “very concerned” that John and Alexis’ romance would “affect” Shannon “very deeply.”
“I mean, thank God she’s done a lot of work over the last couple months on herself,” he shared. “I think she’s healthier than I’ve ever seen her. I’ve never seen her look so good, but that’s taking care of herself, sleeping, not drinking, eating well, exercising, all of that — mental health, physical health.”
“She’s a lot stronger than everyone thinks. She’s amazing,” he continued.
However, Jeff did not have such nice things to say about Shannon’s ex-boyfriend.
“I don’t like how he’s handled the breakup, and … I just think it’s a little classless –– him now dating another ‘Housewife.’ I was actually kind of surprised by that,” he said.
Shannon Beador and John began dating in 2019 before splitting in late 2022 after filming for season 17 of RHOC wrapped. The exes waited until January to make their split public knowledge, but by June, Bravo fans were questioning if John and Shannon were back together as they were spotted hanging out on several occasions.
“No, we’re not getting back together,” Shannon told Us Weekly in June. “Neither one of us are dating anyone.”
Five months later, John was spotted getting cozy with Alexis at The Quiet Woman in Orange County.
Alexis starred on RHOC for seasons 5 through 8. She left the OC Housewives franchise one year before Shannon joined the show.
The 46-year-old is rumored to be in talks to return to RHOC for season 18.
RHOC will return for season 18 in 2024.
