A passenger discovered that an obscene message was written on their 7-month-old son’s suitcase after returning home from the United Kingdom to Cyprus.

Marios Lucas complained to Ryanair about a message on the front of his infant’s baggage that read, “c– stop checking in late.” He said they were checking in for their flight to Paphos 90 minutes before boarding and noticed the message on the little boy’s blue luggage while waiting for baggage claim, as the New York Post reported. “My wife Serena noticed the writing straight away. I’m annoyed as it was a brand new suitcase we bought in September, he explained.
Ryanair’s contractor, ABM Blue Handling, released a statement after receiving a complaint about the message and said the employee was immediately fired: “This unacceptable incident was reported by our own team on the day, immediately investigated and following conclusive evidence, the individual involved has been dismissed.”

“Mr Lucas was contacted by the airport, and an apology was extended. We have a zero-tolerance policy for offensive behavior, and we want to extend our sincere apologies to Mr Lucas,”
Lucas said he was confused by the message because Ryanair employees didn’t confront him about the issue of checking in late. An employee even told him that he everything was fine.
