Ariana Madix has officially confirmed that she and Katie Maloney will not be opening their new sandwich shop, Something About Her, until 2024.
Following setback after setback, the 38-year-old Vanderpump Rules star, who recently came in third place on Dancing With the Stars, admitted their West Hollywood venue is in “limbo.”
According to Ariana, they are all but ready to open but are currently waiting on their next round of inspections.
“I mean, we still are in red tape limbo essentially,” Ariana admitted to BravoTV.com on December 6, saying she hopes it will open “sometime soon.”
“We have an incredible menu,” she continued. “Amazing staff. Very excited people ready to go. So we’re just kind of waiting on that thumbs up, that stamp of approval.”
Although Ariana and Katie, 36, wanted to open in the summer, things “didn’t happen as planned.” And, while appearing at BravoCon, they revealed they were forced to buy a “new water heater.”
Once the shop does open its doors, guests will be treated to an assortment of tasty sandwiches, including an egg salad sandwich, a sandwich that “involves lots of hot peppers and anything salty, pickled,” and enough bread to send anyone into a “carb coma.”
After wrapping up DWTS earlier this week, Ariana shared a heartfelt post with her fans and followers on Instagram, sharing that the experience felt “like a dream.”
“Thank you so much to anyone who watched and voted for us. You guys give me so much strength you have no idea. I was def crying at the end … Thank you my family and friends who came to see me! It really means the world to have your support bc it’s really nerve-racking out there!” she wrote, along with a clip of one of her dances. “I love you guys so much. The universe blessed me with the most amazing partner in [Pasha Pashkov]. Thank you for helping me tell my story, and I hope this is just the beginning! I love you [DWTS]!”
Reflecting on the challenges she faced in 2023, including her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval‘s affair with her one-time best friend, Rachel “Raquel ” Leviss, 29, Ariana admitted, “This year has been really insane for me.
“Obviously many highs and many lows, and I hope that everyone knows who has ever said a kind word to me or about me that I see them and I’m here for them, too,” she told The Daily Dish.
Vanderpump Rules season 11 is set to premiere in January 2024.
