On Saturday (December 9), the Memphis rapper took a trip to Sin City, where he met with fans for an autograph signing for his new liquor brand Del Dia Tequila. The event took place at Lee’s Discount Liquor on E. Flamingo Rd. from 3 to 6 PM.
Well, just before 4:30 PM the rapper got caught off guard when he thought he was signing a bottle for a fan and ended up getting served with court papers.

In a video going viral on social media, a woman, who appears to be the process server in this instance, records the interaction as proof she served the rapper. As the clip begins, the camera is pointing down toward the ground with the woman standing in line, pretending to be an eager fan wanting the rapper’s autograph on a new bottle of tequila.
The woman then begins approaching the black-clothed table where MoneyBagg Yo sits surrounded by his entourage and bottles of tequila to be signed. After the rapper signs one of the bottles, he hands it over to the woman behind the camera. She says, “Thank you,” and then begins her process of serving him legal papers.

She inaudibly says something to the rapper and then proceeds to pull out the legal documents. While handing over the rolled up papers, she officially says, “You’ve been served.” The rapper looks at her with so much confusion and utters, “Huh?” She reiterates, “Sorry. You’ve been served. Have a good one.”
Upon dropping the papers on the table in front of MoneyBagg Yo, the process server begins to walk away, but as she does, the camera catches his continued look of confusion — which has gone super viral.

Responding to all of the comments on social media, MoneyBagg Yo has since taken to his official account on X (formerly Twitter) and broken his silence on the whole deal of confusion. In his first tweet of two, the rapper simply typed several crying laughing emojis. Following it up with a second post, the rapper continued to keep things short, to the point, and uplifting as he wrote, “Small thing to a giant.”
According to initial unconfirmed reports, the court papers that were served to the Memphis rapper were reportedly in regards to a lawsuit from a Las Vegas promoter alleging that the rapper was paid for either a performance or appearance and never showed up, then allegedly failed to return the funds or make good on the event from 2021.
