New Usagi Yojimbo adventure now presented in collected editions
Picking up where The Green Dragon saga left off comes the next adventure of the beloved rabbit ronin in Usagi Yojimbo Volume 39: Ice and Snow, soon to be available in collected editions. Written and illustrated by Usagi Yojimbo creator Stan Sakai with colors by Emi Fujii and HiFi Colour Design, the collection of the five-issue comic series will be presented in both a standard trade paperback edition as well as a Limited Edition hardcover. The Limited Edition comes with a dust jacket and features a tip-in bonus page signed by Sakai along with a ribbon bookmark.
Usagi Yojimbo returns to Dark Horse in the new series, Ice and Snow. Usagi and Yukichi are still in the snowy mountaintops of Northern Japan, where they are led to the hut of a strange woman hermit who allows them to spend the night. Meanwhile, the maniacal Jei and his familiar, Keiko, are on Usagi’s trail when they stumble upon a bandit lair and subdue a band of cutthroats and thieves.
The Usagi Yojimbo Volume 39: Ice and Snow TPB and Limited Edition HC will arrive in bookstores September 10, 2024 and in comic shops September 11, 2024. Each edition of the book spans 136 pages and measures 6.625 by 10.1875″, with the paperback retailing for $19.99 and the Limited Edition HC retailing for $59.99.
