After Cassie made recent headlines, which involved an abuse lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs, she is back in the news as another super producer ex of hers, Ryan Leslie, reveals the singer is getting ready for a musical comeback in the form of a new tour!
According to Leslie — who not only had a business and intimate relationship with Cassie, born Cassandra Ventura, but also discovered her in 2004 — he and the “Me & U” singer appear to be back working together for the fans.

While speaking with TMZ in New York City on Tuesday (December 12), Ryan Leslie was initially asked if he ever knew about any of Cassie’s abuse and sexual assault allegations she made against Diddy before the public found out in November through her shocking $30 million lawsuit.
Responding, RLes said that around the time of Cassie’s relationship with Diddy, he was pretty much out of the picture and no longer in contact with her. For background, after Leslie discovered Cassie in 2004, a year later, he reportedly convinced Diddy to partner Bad Boy Records with his NextSelection Lifestyle Group label to release Cassie’s self-titled debut album in 2006.
Within a year, Diddy and Cassie started dating in 2007, which meant Cassie curbed Ryan Leslie, ending their business and intimate relationship.

During his TMZ interview, Ryan Leslie was also asked if he has spoken to Cassie since after she quickly settled her lawsuit with Diddy. Leslie admitted that they eventually reconnected in 2017, a year prior to her and Diddy splitting for good.
RLes told the news outlet, “Yeah. We’ve definitely spoken. But, mostly it was around the time when our mutual manager Ed Woods had passed away.” When specifically asked how Cassie’s been doing since her bombshell lawsuit, Leslie added, “Well, the last conversation we had she was planning for a tour. So, we had talked about [getting that together].”
After dropping the exciting news, Leslie did not release any further information or timelines about Cassie’s comeback and forthcoming tour.
