Furthermore, the 26-year-old also opened up about “working on” himself to “get clean and get better.”
“And my people know that,” the rapper told viewers. “I never been the type of n***a to run from issues that I normally have to face, I look that s**t head on and catch a hold on to it. There’s been times I went to rehab by myself, without court appointment — without the court having to tell me to do that. Just me wanting better for myself…”
The rapper ultimately explained that he has children for whom he has to be “better” and present.
According to HipHopDX, the rapper also revealed that he is expecting a “baby boy” with his “fiancée.” At this time, it remains unclear who the woman is that he is referring to.
“They say you need a wife, I got one. My fiancée having a baby boy in two months. I’m trying to hit my quota, too!” the rapper reportedly told viewers.
Kodak Black is currently a father to three children.
The Rapper’s Lawyer Supports His Claims
According to TMZ, the outlet recently spoke exclusively with the 26-year-old’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen. Cohen has also alleged that Black was not found in possession of cocaine but instead a different substance.
“In this latest case, my belief is that the ‘rock’ this officer found when tested will be a Percocet, not cocaine,” Cohen reportedly told TMZ.
Additionally, the lawyer seemed to imply that the drug test conducted by authorities was not conclusive.
“The test they do is a presumptive test for illegal substances. It just turns blue,” the attorney shared.
Furthermore, Cohen reportedly acknowledged that Black has a “dependency on prescription pain pills.” This reportedly includes Percocet medication. However, the rapper’s team is “working on a treatment program for him.”
“There will be a couple of different phases of this treatment in order for him to get better. You have to treat the root problem of the dependency and that’s what is going to happen. We are going to alleviate dependency,” Cohen reportedly told TMZ.
