What Happened to SEVENTEEN Member Yoon Jeonghan?

SEVENTEEN member Yoon Jeonghan had suffered an injury on his left ankle. The ankle pain became worse during the K-pop boy group’s recent tour. He was prescribed the need for surgery by the medical staff. Jeonghan underwent ankle surgery on Thursday morning, December 14, 2023.

SEVENTEEN’s agency, Pledis Entertainment, recently confirmed the news by releasing an official statement. It stated that Yoon Jeonghan is in stable condition after his successful surgery. However, he will not be able to continue his official activities as part of the boy band and will thus not be part of SEVENTEEN’s ongoing tour, FOLLOW, for the time being.

Jeonghan ankle surgery: SEVENTEEN singer will miss FOLLOW tour

As mentioned earlier, Pledis Entertainment released an official statement regarding SEVENTEEN’s Yoon Jeonghan’s current health condition. The statement also disclosed that he will not participate in the official activities of the band for some time. This includes some of the band’s FOLLOW tour performances.

The statement reads, “Hello. This is Pledis Entertainment. We would like to inform you about the health status and future schedule of Seventeen member Jeonghan. Jeonghan suffered an injury to his left ankle in the past and has received various conservative treatments. The artist’s determination to participate in all scheduled activities this year was strong, and he continued his activities by regularly checking the condition of his ankle with the medical staff.”

It continued, “While completing his recent tour schedule, Jeonghan’s ankle pain worsened, so he urgently visited the hospital and was diagnosed by the medical staff as needing surgery. Accordingly, she was hospitalized on the 13th (Wednesday) and underwent ankle surgery on the morning of the 14th (Thursday). The surgery was completed successfully, and Jeonghan is currently resting and resting.”

The official statement further mentioned, “We decided that it would be advisable to prioritize the artist’s health and focus on recovery and treatment of the injured area. Therefore, it will be difficult for Jeonghan to participate in official activities for the time being, including the upcoming SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ TO JAPAN’s Fukuoka performance and ‘FOLLOW’ TO ASIA’s Bangkok, Bulacan, and Macau performances. We ask for fans’ generous understanding in this regard.”

The agency ended the statement by assuring fans that they will do their best for Jeonghan’s treatment and recovery.
