In a brave move, actor Christian Keyes came forward about his experience with sexual harassment at the hands of a powerful figure in Hollywood. This revelation has sparked an outpouring of love and support from both fellow celebrities and fans.
Christian Keyes, known for his roles in popular BET TV shows and movies, took to social media to share his personal experience with sexual harassment. He detailed the traumatic encounters and expressed his determination to stand up against such behavior. “This person was sexually harassing me for years, Keyes began. “He was claiming he had multiple young Black men on payroll and they just had to show up when he requested them to be there. Clearly, that’s why he felt it was okay to say these things.” He continued, “It happens. It’s just not women that have to deal with it but it’s also men sometimes. And it will be men tempting men.” In the 62-minute-long video, Keyes goes on to explain that he has voice recordings from these encounters and plans to speak on even more very soon.
Although Keyes did not disclose the name of the man who he “worked with and worked for” who allegedly harassed him for years, many close celebrity friends have offered their support to him. The entertainment industry has rallied around Keyes, with numerous people expressing their support and admiration for his bravery. She continued, “I will stand with you on this as your friend cause know it’s true cause this is the same vibe and tone and story you shared from 2008 (I believe). CONGRATULATIONS to you for not going along to get along and being able to look at vourself in the mirror as vou shave in the morning, Other MEN and women will be saved and feel heard BECAUSE of your bravery!!!!!!!!!! Love va friend!”
Yvette Nicole Brown added,“The scenic route through this often dark business has been lovely for me. You’ve chosen the right route, friend. Any door that opens for me that Jesus can’t go thru with me is a doorway I will never cross. God is with you. He will continue to be with you. When it’s time to name names you will know and I know your obedience will lead you to do it. God’s Way and God’s Will always. Praying for you.”
Tami Roman also wrote to him, “Christian I’ve been around you several times and you are such a light who walks with integrity & peace. I’m sorry you’ve experienced this but I commend your bravery! In this instance, your bravery is selfless and will protect so many who could go thru this after you. You are the person with the strength & protection from God to handle this journey… that’s why as you stated, it’s a difficult decision… it’s been heavy on you but you feel overwhelmingly compelled to speak on it… that’s God saying it’s time and to step out for he will be with you. Just know when there’s a Goliath in front of you, there’s a David inside of you! My prayers are with you as you heal from this trauma.”
