Candiace Dillard Bassett reacted after Gizelle Bryant claimed Candiace’s ‘colorist’ accusations led to ‘death threats.’ The singer also hinted at why she and Robyn Dixon can’t be friends, claimed there’s more behind her “ugly cry” scene, and slammed Robyn’s allegations of “cyberbullying.”
Last season on Real Housewives of Potomac, Gizelle accused Candiace’s husband Chris Bassett of making her feel uncomfortable in a hotel room. Candiace suggested that Gizelle did this for ratings, knowing Chris – who was fired from his job – had only good intentions. She also accused Gizelle of colorism.
After the latest episode aired, Candiace reacted to a fan who claimed Gizelle’s “death threats” were triggered by the “storyline” Gizelle created.

Another fan suggested that Candiace can’t be friends with Robyn – because Robyn turns a “blind eye” to her best friend Gizelle, who verbally “attacked” Candiace’s husband and family last season.
“This is true,” wrote Candiace. “My goal wasn’t to make my issues with my co worker [Robyn] about her friend (Neck) [Gizelle]. I wanted to understand her. The cancer that is her friend is perhaps a side effect of why you’re watching us go from friends to co workers.”

Candiace also reacted to the accusation that Wendy controls her.
“No one controls me but Jesus. Love my friend. Respect her opinions. That’s it and that’s all,” explained the star, who then responded to a tweet calling Gizelle the “[dissension] in the group.”
“This,” declared Candiace before addressing her tearful scene in the latest episode. “I wish I could articulate EVERYTHING that was behind my ugly cry (lol) but I can’t right now. It stretches beyond this moment. I just didn’t feel safe here.”
