Casey Wilson is not a fan of Tim Allen, and on a recent episode of her podcast, Bitch Sesh, she didn’t hold back unleashed the fury of her feeling towards Allen after working with him on the Disney+ series The Santa Clauses. She said her experience on that show was the “truly single worst experience I’ve ever had with a co-star ever.”
Wilson said: “Tim Allen was such a bitch. It was the truly single worst experience I’ve ever had with a co-star ever.” She said that she didn’t want to talk about her experience with Allen until now because a producer on the show is “a great friend” of hers and also because her kids “loved the movies.” But, now she doesn’t care what anything thinks and shared the following story:
“So I’m in a scene. It’s just me and Tim Allen and I’m supposed to throw things at him. I think he’s a burglar. So he’s coming down the chimney, obviously as Santa, and I am woken up thinking there’s an intruder, basically like a home invasion scene. So I’m throwing things at him. [He] goes over to the producer who is standing four feet from me and goes, and I hear him, he goes, ‘You gotta tell her to stop stepping on my lines.’ The producer turns to me with horror on his face and has to walk one foot to me and he goes, ‘Um, Tim would ask that you stop stepping on his lines.’”
Wilson went on to share that “everybody was walking on egg shells” around Allen on set and “people just looked frantic.” She also explained that “When he was done, he was so f –king rude. Never made eye contact, never said anything. It was so uncomfortable.”
She went on to say that after finishing one shot that blocked her in a close-up, she said Allen immediately left the set without telling anyone on the cast and crew. She said:
“It’s the end, and Tim Allen goes, ‘Leaving!,’ takes his Santa cape, picks it up and drops it on the floor and walks out. And they hustle in his stand-in; lovely man, who was much nicer to act against. People are scurrying to pick up his velvet Santa coat. He’s a bitch. And this is the best… I will not say who said this. This was someone that I do not know, perhaps in the crew. [He or she] breezes past me and just goes, ‘You’re seeing him on a good day.‘”
I’m really not that surprised by what Wilson is sharing here. I’ve heard some things about the difficulties of working with Allen. While I’ve enjoyed a lot of Tim Allen’s work over the years, it’s a shame that he acts like this. It’ll be interesting to see if and how he responds to these accusations.
