The trailer has been released for the dramatic film Good Grief, from writer and director Dan Levy, who previously wrote/directed and starred in my favorite show, Schitt’s Creek. This film, about the loss of one’s significant other, marks his feature directorial debut, and he stars in the pic alongside a great cast that includes Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, Celia Imrie, David Bradley, Arnaud Valois, Emma Corrin, Kaitlyn Dever, and Luke Evans.
The film’s synopsis reads:
“Marc (Daniel Levy) was content living in the shadow of his larger-than-life husband, Oliver (Luke Evans). But when Oliver unexpectedly dies, Marc’s world shatters, sending him and his two best friends, Sophie (Ruth Negga) and Thomas (Himesh Patel), on a soul-searching trip to Paris that reveals some hard truths they each needed to face.”
This looks like it’s going to be a tear jerker, but I like this genre, and I’ll watch anything Dan Levy makes, so I am here for it. Check out the trailer below, and watch Good Grief when it hits Netflix on January 5th.
