Denise Richards claims she only had one drink before her “hot f–king mess” return to RHOBH for Kyle Richards’ weed dinner party from hell.
RHOBH alum Denise Richards is shutting down gossip she was drunk AF during her recent return to the show for Kyle Richards‘ week dinner party.
Earlier this month, Denise raised eyebrows when she made her much-anticipated return to RHOBH. Fans were shocked and concerned by the actress’ odd and “hot mess” behavior.
During the dramatic dinner, Denise mainly stayed silent except for her facial expressions, which did all the talking.
RHOBH viewers couldn’t help but notice Denise’s strange behavior and flocked to Twitter to voice their thoughts over what was “wrong” with the former Bond girl.
Fans accused Denise of getting her “pre-party on” and being “on something” amid her “crazy” facial expressions and “out of it” behavior.
Now, Denise is shutting down the rumor mill and setting the record straight on her return to RHOBH.
“I didn’t take anything — I had a drink before I went,” she told Bethenny Frankel on Sunday’s episode of her “Just B” podcast.
“I was nervous seeing the women, that was it,” the RHOBH alum insisted, noting that she had only had “half a drink” at Kyle’s party.
Denise also confessed to taking a dose of “regular cold medicine” to help her fight a cold.
Despite mixing booze and cold medicine, Denise insists she didn’t consume any weed at Kyle’s dinner party.
“I don’t do weed, I don’t do edibles, I don’t do any of that,” she explained. “It doesn’t mix well with my body. I tried weed twice, for the record, and I don’t like it.”
However, the former RHOBH star does theorize that maybe her plate got switched with someone else at the table, and due to that, she inadvertently ingested cannabis.
“I’ve never been like that in my entire life,” she added. “Maybe there was a mixup in the meal or the water.”
“Progressively during the evening I felt worse and worse,” she continued. “It was bizarre. All I know is when I got home, I was like ‘There’s something wrong with me.’”
Denise admits she has yet to watch the episode of RHOBH because she is nervous about what she might have said.
“I obviously made an ass out of myself, so I was like ‘Why the hell am I going to watch myself like that?’”
She also explained why she freaked out on RHOBH’s Dorit Kemsley for pointing out that her pink fur jacket was on upside down.
“She does this with everyone — especially me,” Denise said “She’ll be like, ‘Your lipstick doesn’t look right. You need some lip gloss. You got mascara. Your hair is out of place.’ That’s why I was like, ‘Stop. I don’t care … Shut the f—k up’ … Like, do you feel like you need to do that to make yourself feel secure?”
“Not once that I’ve seen her has she not said one thing about my appearance,” she continued. “I didn’t give a s—t that my jacket was upside down, I wanted to get the hell out of there.”
As for her confrontation with Erika Jayne, Denise says her outburst resulted from unresolved emotions.
“How do you not know you were such an a–hole,” Denise says of the Pretty Mess singer, who insisted she “didn’t feel anything personal toward Denise.”
Denise starred in seasons 9 and 10 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills before leaving the show in 2020.
