#Socialites, are you here for it? Lil Uzi Vert reveals that he plans on retiring soon! Recently, the Philadelphia rapper told TMZ that he might be quitting rap after his next album and will start making women’s clothing.

According to Lil Uzi a career change is inevitable, especially since he is tired of facing the pressures of always needing to create and release albums. Instead, he says his new calling might actually be to begin producing women’s clothing.
While getting stopped by TMZ this week at Terminal 27, Lil Uzi was asked for an update on his forthcoming album ‘LUV Is Rage 3,’ and if the project is truly going to be his last album. Lil Uzi responded, “Yeah,” and then proceeded to explain why he no longer wants to produce music. He adds, “I love making music, but I don’t really want to make music like that no more.”

When asked what is next after he quits rapping, Uzi shared, “I want to make women’s clothes. I’ve been working on my office in my house.” Uzi was asked if his girlfriend, City Girls rapper JT, was helping him at all with his new career change. Uzi said, “JT got her own stuff going on, and her own line and stuff going on, which looks really nice.”
Now, Uzi’s decision to switch careers and opt to making women’s clothing shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as the rapper has previously explained his fascination with clothing for women, and why he’d rather shop for clothes in the women’s section versus men’s.

Back in September 2019, Lil Uzi Vert told GQ in a new profile all about his love for women’s clothing, and why he had been delaying his new album at the time ‘Eternal Atake.’ Then, Uzi again revealed that although he loves making music, he’d rather just buy clothes. He said that his two primary motivations for continuing to make music were to make his family happy and buy a Bugatti (which he eventually purchased and ended up being Floyd Mayweather‘s Bugatti Veyron for $1.7 million).
In addition to speaking on his gender-bending fashion choices, Uzi told GQ all about his love for women’s clothing. He explained that because of his small stature (for reference he is five-foot-three-inches tall), he was able to fit into his mom’s skinny jeans better than any male sizes back during the trend in the mid-to-late 2000s. Since then, he said he just continued to shop in the women’s section because of the larger selections that better fit his body type. He said, “The women’s section is waaaay better than the men’s section. Always. The women’s section, you usually don’t have to get things tailored. It’s usually just on point.”
Then in November 2020, Lil Uzi’s girlfriend JT called him out for stealing her clothes. It appeared that in addition to pulling inspiration from JT’s closet, Uzi was also pulling and borrowing pieces from his girlfriend. In a since-deleted Twitter post, JT wrote, “N***a stole my scarf I wanted to do another look with it.” Apparently, Uzi had taken an orange silky scarf JT previously posed with on her head and he rocked it around his neck in his and Future’s music video for “That’s It.”
