Paramount Ahead, But Are There Other Suitors?

So beautiful! Ahead of this year’s Christmas, Nick Cannon honored his late son Zen Scott Cannon, who died of cancer two years ago, by dressing up as Santa Claus and surprising tons of young patients at a Children’s Hospital in Orange County, California. The event was hosted by Zen’s Light Foundation and called Zen’s Light Winter Wonderland.

On Friday (December 22), Nick Cannon took to his Instagram account to share the holiday joy and reveal his latest tribute to his late son Zen Cannon, with whom she shares with model Alyssa Scott. In his caption, Cannon wrote, “Zens’s Light shining bright for the holidays!! Thank you to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and everyone who made the day so loving, warm, and memorable. 🙏🏾❤️”

Along with the caption, Cannon posted a video recapping the beautiful event which featured the serial entrepreneur alongside another man playing as Santa Claus at the hospital. The clip, which features the classic song “This Christmas,” shows Cannon going around the hospital and visiting tons of children and their families.

In addition to meeting his young fans as Santa Claus, Cannon also joins them in decorating, like making mini snowmen and adding faux snow to a toy train set. He also takes photos with the young patients and reads them Christmas-themed books. Towards the end of the clip, Cannon is shown holding up tons of ribbon-tied boxes and handing out the presents to the young and excited children.

In December 2021, Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott’s 5-month-old son Zen Cannon died of brain cancer. Cannon said that soon after his son’s birth in July 2021, he noticed his baby had a “nice-sized” head and had developed a cough, leading to him and Scott taking their newborn to a doctor. After being examined by medical professionals, it was soon learned that Zen was building up fluid in his brain, which turned out to be a malignant tumor.

Zen soon underwent surgery to drain the built-up fluid, but sadly things took a turn for the worse around Thanksgiving. Zen was only 5 months old when he passed.

About six months following the loss of their first child together, Cannon and Scott “turned their paint into purpose” and launched Zen’s Light Foundation to honor their late son. In a joint Instagram post uploaded in June 2022, Zen’s parents wrote, “We are proud to announce his new foundation that will help so many others in this world. ‘Zen’s Light’ mission is to foster global excellence in hope, grief-care, and pediatric healthcare for families and children in need.”

Then in October 2022, Scott revealed that she and Cannon were expecting their second child together and in December of that year, they welcomed their daughter, Halo Marie Cannon.

In addition to his two children with Alyssa Scott, Nick Cannon shares 10 other children among five other women. In total, Cannon shares: twins Moroccan and Monroe, 12, with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden Sagon, 6, and Rise Messiah, 1, and daughter Powerful Queen, 2, with ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell; twin boys Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, 2, with ex-girlfriend and DJ Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary Love, 1, with ‘Selling Sunset‘ star Bre Tiesi; daughter Onyx Ice Cole, 1, with LaNisha Cole; and late son Zen and daughter Halo, 11 months, with Alyssa Scott.
