Craig Conover denied drinking and drinking on a recent episode of Southern Charm – after fans noticed what seemed to be an open can of alcohol after he drove to Madison LeCroy‘s house.
The show, known for its heavy partying, has also aired several drunken fights. And while some viewers may enjoy it, the latest episode seemingly crossed the line.
On a December 22 Instagram post, Craig shared the clip of himself exiting his vehicle, taking an open can and drinking the mysterious beverage.
“You don’t need to bring your own drink in,” said his girlfriend Paige DeSorbo at the time. Craig responded, “Is that weird?”
One fan commented on the post, “They lost me at drinking and driving.”
But Craig quickly explained that the open can wasn’t alcohol.
“It’s Budweiser Zero. I always have a cooler packed with some in my car. Not sure why they cut that detail 🙂,” responded Craig, referring to the non-alcoholic drink, via Us Weekly.
One detail they didn’t cut was Craig’s comment that he wouldn’t “freak out” if he and Paige split.
“It’s not the end of the world if we don’t end up together,” said Craig in the episode, noting that Paige is “not ready” to move to Charleston. “Now, I believe that I’ve become a stable person with or without you. I know that you got me there, but I really feel stable in myself to the point where, like, I could let you go. I would be really sad, but I wouldn’t freak out, if that makes sense.”
