The acclaimed Weekend Festival has quickly become one of Europe’s premier electronic music festivals. Attracting roughly 840,000 visitors from more than 50 countries in the last decade, this unforgettable two-day event has expanded beyond Finland to include Estonia and Sweden.

Weekend Festival annually invites 20,000 attendees to the beloved Vermo Arena, a horse-racing track venue located just 10 minutes from Helsinki’s city center. The event comes to life with top-tier production, world-class sound systems, immersive lighting and more, maintaining organizers’ outstanding reputation for presenting one of the biggest electronic music events ever seen in Finland.

This substantial investment in Weekend Festival’s production is evident in its appeal, with pre-sale registrations surpassing 15,000—significantly exceeding figures from previous years. The limited ticket availability underscores the event’s exclusivity and heightened demand. Notably, this year’s fest is exclusively for attendees aged 18 and above.

“We definitely think that going back to our roots was exactly the right direction for us. Electronic music is again clearly growing internationally, and Weekend Festival is the only festival of this scale in Northern Europe where you can get such a comprehensive electronic dance music experience,” Marketing Director Atro Anttila said in a press release. “Coming back to Espoo felt like a warm homecoming. With our finger on the pulse of the latest trends and an ear for the globe’s hottest beats, we are ready to amplify the energy and bring the most electrifying parties to Northern Europe. Get ready for an even more vibrant, bass-dropping, and unforgettable festival journey as we continue to cater exclusively to the most passionate adult fans of the electronic music scene.”

The theme for this year is “Disco Nation,” featuring three remarkable stages to cater to diverse tastes: WKND Stage for mainstream sounds, Future Stage for hardstyle and drum & bass, and CNNCT Stage for techno and house music enthusiasts. Beyond live performances, attendees can enjoy a comprehensive experience featuring visual arts, interactive installations and the camaraderie of fellow electronic music enthusiasts.

Musically, all bases are covered with dance music superstars Timmy Trumpet and Showtek, joined by influential selectors such as Boris Brejcha, whose label Fckng Serious will take over the Future Stage on Friday. Also playing will be Brennan Heart, Da Tweekaz, Sub Zero Project, Tungevaag and Will Sparks, among others. Norwegian hitmaker Alan Walker, trance pioneer Tiësto and hardstyle heavyweight Coone also joined the lineup in early December, among others.

Weekend Festival is scheduled for August 2-3, 2024. You can purchase tickets and find out more here.
