While some people go all out with extravagant gifts, others choose a more unique approach. Take Kroy Biermann, for example, who decided to give his kids the gift of time this Christmas. Meanwhile, his estranged wife, Kim Zolciak, went for the more traditional material items.
Reports surfaced earlier this week claiming that Biermann and Zolciak had to sell some of their belongings to afford presents for their four children. Of course these reports had people scratching their heads as the gift giving comes amid their nasty divorce and financial woes.
However, Biermann’s attorney, Marlys A. Bergstrom, is speaking out on the former Atlanta Falcons player’s behalf to set the record straight. In a statement to @pagesix, he says that Mr. Biermann wanted to create lasting memories with his children. Instead of showering them with presents, he opted for quality time.
The day started with a trip to church, followed by a wonderful Christmas dinner prepared by Kroy himself. Bergstrom’s statement didn’t miss the opportunity to throw some shade at Zolciak. While Biermann and the kids were busy making memories, Kim apparently decided to spend the rest of the day in her living space in the basement. The statement read, “Kim offered the children material stuff. Kroy opted for creating Christmas memories,” Biermann’s attorney, Marlys A. Bergstrom, told the outlet. “All except Kim, who after the children opened their presents, spent the rest of the day in her living space in the basement of the couples’ home.”
What makes this story even more intriguing is that this was the first Christmas Biermann and Zolciak spent together since filing for divorce for the second time. Talk about awkward family dynamics!

The estranged couple share four kid together: Kroy Jr. (aka KJ), 12, Kash, 11, and twins Kaia and Kane, 10. Zolciak, 45, also has daughters Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 22, from a previous relationship.
Although the ex duo has had good and bad times amid their divorce proceedings, Biermann’s lawyer shut down Kim Zolciak’s claim that the estranged couple are “working on” their marriage after the former football player filed for divorce for a second time.
“There is no reconciliation. His resolve to see this divorce through to the end has not waivered,” Bergstrom continued.
