RHOBH’s Kyle Richards reveals why she’s no longer close to Dorit Kemsley as Dorit accuses her of “morphing” into new friend Morgan Wade.
Kyle Richards admits that her relationship with RHOBH co-star Dorit Kemsley is not the same as it once was and explains what caused the distance in their friendship.
On the December 20th episode of RHOBH, Kyle gushed about her friendship with Morgan Wade, noting that their relationship is “very different” from her other friendships.
During the RHOBH episode, Kyle admits that Dorit “doesn’t feel like a friend” as the Beverly Beach designer accuses her of “morphing” into Morgan.
“I feel like I’m an afterthought. I guess I have to put your initial on my body for you to actually care. I mean, literally,” Dorit tells Kyle, referring to the “K” tattoo the RHOBH OG tattooed on Morgan in an earlier episode.
“I mean, Morgan has so many [tattoos] on her, I was like, ‘What difference does it make?’” Kyle replied.
Still, Dorit just can’t believe how close Kyle and Morgan’s friendship has become.
“I can’t believe how good of friends you guys are,” Dorit admits, to which Kyle responds, “I know. People are like, ‘I don’t understand this friendship.’”
The 47-year-old RHOBH star tells Kyle, “You’re morphing into her.”
In her confessional interview, Dorit then elaborates on her feelings about her friendship with Kyle.
“I genuinely feel hurt by this distance between Kyle and I. Kyle and I used to go away once or twice, even more, a year. Now I’m not invited on any of Kyle’s trips,” she shared. “Much of who Kyle has become is a lot like who Morgan is. Where do I fit in, in Kyle’s new life? [It] feels like I’ve not just been excluded, but maybe even replaced.”
As for Kyle, she explains in her confessional interview why she has pulled away from Dorit.
“I really felt disappointed in her,” the RHOBH OG admitted, referring to Dorit calling her out over her drama with sister Kathy Hilton at the RHOBH season 12 reunion.
“In private, Dorit had been saying to me, ‘I feel so bad about what you’re going through with your sister,’ and she was really supportive and on my side. And then, when we were all together, it was a very different tune. That doesn’t feel like a friend to me,” she continued.
Meanwhile, on the Wednesday, December 6 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Dorit admitted that her friendship with Kyle has suffered since the RHOBH OG became closer to Morgan.
“She’ll kill me, but I feel like the closer she got with Morgan, the further she got from me,” Dorit admitted when asked about her friendship with the RHOBH OG.
“But I don’t think I’m the only one [who feels that way],” she added. “I’m sorry, Kyle, I love you. But it’s the truth; it’s how I feel.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
