RHOA fans believe that Kim Zolciak “destroyed” her estranged husband Kroy Biermann as their financial woes from Kim’s overspending surface.
Many Real Housewives of Atlanta fans believe that Kroy Biermann is the victim of Kim Zolciak’s greed and need to keep up with the Joneses as old footage of the Bravo star’s over-the-top spending habits surfaces on social media.
It’s no secret that the former RHOA couple is broke. In recently released police bodycam footage from a November 20 altercation, Kroy accused Kim of destroying their lives.
“There’s no money; there’s no house…,” Kroy yelled at his estranged wife outside their Georgia mansion, which is currently on the market for $6 million. “…We’re getting divorced one day, and we’re not the next! She’s f—king other men.”
In the last year, the former RHOA couple’s growing financial issues have become public knowledge. Kim and Kroy’s highly publicized money issues include credit card debt, millions owed in back taxes, and missed car and mortgage payments.
They are also on the verge of losing their home to foreclosure. Kim and Kroy put their Alpharetta, Georgia mansion on the market for $6 million in October as it was scheduled to go up for auction due to failed payment on November 7, 2023.
Recently, Kim and Kroy agreed to a deal with their mortgage lender, Truist Bank, to give them more time to offload their home before foreclosure, per Radar Online. The two have until January 11, 2024, to sell their home before Truist Bank moves forward with the foreclosure proceedings.
All this news is quite shocking, considering Kroy’s successful NFL career and the former RHOA couple’s decade-plus run on Bravo.
Per a recent TikTok, Kroy amassed a total earnings of nearly $15 million over his eight-year NFL career. Fans have quite a bit to say about this tidbit of info.
“I believe Kroy had a couple more years in the NFL if he didn’t meet Kim. I feel so sorry for him. That man really gave up everything for her and them two grown-ass lazy kids,” one fan quipped.
“$14 mil, but they lived like it was $50 mil,” a second fan wrote.
A third fan commented: “Kim destroyed this man. His family tried to warn him, but he was younger than her and in love. Anyone who’s been with a narcissist knows exactly how he feels. Sad.”
“She ruined him. Just like his parents said, she would. Despicable,” someone else wrote.
Another fan quipped: “She gambled away & blew every dime of that money! SMDH!”
“Kroy has suffered #financialabuse, which is common when married to a narcissist. I really feel for him,” another fan shared while someone else commented, “Kroy totally screwed himself when he fell in love with her. He probably could’ve played longer in the NFL, and he would’ve had a great life with someone else. She has ruined what used to be a kind, wonderful man. It’s really so sad.”
Meanwhile, a clip of the RHOA OG being super delusional about her finances has also surfaced on TikTok. Part one of the clip occurs at the RHOA season 5 reunion, where Andy Cohen tells Kim “I’m worried that you’re like spending all your money.”
Kim insists she’s not and that she made more money than Kroy the prior year. She notes that Kroy signed a big three-year contract that was worth a nice chunk of change.
The RHOA OG tells Andy: “We’re not stupid honey; this is not going to last forever. This whole situation is not going to last forever, and Kroy’s not going to be in the NFL forever.”
She adds that a “$150,000, in the scheme of things, is not a big deal, and a $2.5 million house, I could go buy much more than that.”
In the second half of the clip, Kim claims her now defunct skincare line Kashmere sold $15 million in its first year. This bold claim leads NeNe Leakes to dub her fellow RHOA OG “delusional.”
“The Delusion is real. And this certainly didn’t age well,” one comment in response to the clip.
“From the beginning, I knew she would bleed Kroy dry and make him crazy! I hope he’s on better terms with his family now because he’s going to need their love and support,” a second fan wrote.
“Lying, Gambling, broke ass,” a third fan shared.
“Should’ve gone on those trips and kept the housewives gig girl,” another fan quipped.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is expected to return for season 16 in 2024.
