Shannon Beador is reportedly “sad” about ex-boyfriend John Janssen‘s new romance with Alexis Bellino.
As Alexis, 46, continues to flaunt their relationship on social media, most recently revealing she “[loves]” John and sharing an image of a promise ring he got for her, the Real Housewives of Orange County star is said to be hurt by the romance as an insider claims Alexis will be featured in a full-time role on the upcoming 18th season of the Bravo series.
“She’s sad,” one insider told Radar Online of Shannon on December 27.
Meanwhile, another added that her friends doubt John bought Alexis the alleged $16,000 ring for Christmas.
“Shannon said he didn’t pay for sh*t,” the second source said.
As RHOC fans will recall, Alexis and John were first spotted together in November and confirmed their romance earlier this month. Then, over the holidays, Alexis showed off John’s pricy gift.
“Words cannot. Actions do. I will no longer feel guilty. I will not apologize. Love will create [its] own story. I love you Johnny J,” Alexis captioned a pic of her ring, an 18-karat yellow gold band with diamonds, tagging Van Cleef & Arpels.
“I think it’s fake,” a source close to Shannon said of John and Alexis’ relationship, adding that “[there’s] no way” Alexis would be interested in someone like John.
While Shannon’s inner circle may have their doubts about John and Alexis, Alexis continues to share photos of John on her Instagram page, most recently gushing about his “hotness” on her Instagram Story as she also shared a pic of them on a boat.
As for Alexis’ potential return to RHOC, an insider on Wednesday suggested she’s set to reprise her full-time role for season 18.
“Okay.. I have this on very very very good authority… and I do trust this source.. but if you have doubts… save this post and let’s revisit it in a few weeks,” Cici Loves You on Instagram told their followers on December 27, along with a screenshot of an insider tip.
“Alexis and John will be filming middle of January 100 [percent] not a friend role and 100 [percent] full housewife role,” the tipster stated.
No word yet on when The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 will premiere on Bravo.
