Wild story coming out of Texas: A 17-year-old has confessed to shooting two friends, resulting in the death of one, inside his home just days before Christmas. The chilling revelation came as the teenager admitted to harboring a desire to “commit homicide for a long time.”
According to court documents obtained by KHOU 11, Connor Hilton lured his two friends, both teenagers, to his home on December 23 under the pretense of showing off a revolver he had allegedly convinced his mother to buy for him. While showcasing the weapon, Hilton callously shot both victims in the head. Ethan Riley, 18, tragically lost his life the following day, while 19-year-old Benjamin Bliek remains in critical condition.
A third person, who was present during the shooting, managed to hide in the bathroom and promptly called the police upon hearing the gunshots. This individual later informed investigators that they overheard Hilton utter the haunting words, “What have I done?” as he walked past the bathroom door. The gravity of the situation was evident when officers arrived at the scene, finding Hilton visibly distraught and the victims lying on the floor, with the revolver placed on the table.
In a chilling revelation, Hilton confessed to investigators that he had contemplated and desired to commit a homicide for a significant period. He sought out a firearm with the intention of shooting someone, potentially even himself. The complaint states that Hilton fully comprehends the gravity of his actions and acknowledges the need for accountability.
Initially charged with two counts of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, Hilton was released after posting a $1 million bond. However, on Monday, he was rearrested and charged with murder. Hilton will now remain in police custody, awaiting further legal proceedings. His attorney, Jennifer Carpenter, denies his account of how he obtained the firearm, adding another layer of complexity to this tragic case.

Hilton’s attorney, Jennifer Carpenter, made it clear to ABC News that his mother did not purchase a gun for him.
“The parents of Connor Hilton cannot express enough their deepest condolences to the victims’ families who have been heavily on the Hiltons’ hearts and minds as they try to navigate this devastating situation,” Hilton’s family said in a statement released through the attorney on Thursday. “The Hilton family wants to thank everyone who has reached out in love and support, including all who sent positive comments about Connor’s character and good nature in general,” the statement continued. “The family asks for continued prayers for everyone affected, especially the victims’ families.”
