During an appearance on ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Live show, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden made an interesting statement, declaring that the United States is better positioned to lead the world than any other country.
Despite facing challenges such as voter concerns over immigration and the economy, as well as unfavorable polling numbers for the upcoming 2024 election, President Biden confidently backed his record and emphasized America’s potential to shape global affairs.
While sharing their hopes for the new year, Biden said: “My hope is that everybody has a healthy, happy and safe new year,” Joe Biden said. “But beyond that, I hope that they understand that we’re in a better position than any country in the world to lead the world. And we’re coming back and it’s about time.”

Biden’s approval rating has fallen to a record low of 34 percent, according to a Monmouth University poll released in December, with nearly 70 percent of respondents disapproving of his handling of inflation. More than half of respondents disapproved of his record on jobs, even as he presides over a historically strong labor market.
President Biden formally announced that he will seek a second term back in April, pitching himself as the Democrat best positioned to keep Donald J. Trump from reclaiming his seat at the White House.
He said at the time, “Around the country, MAGA extremists are lining up to take on those bedrock freedoms,” Mr. Biden said. “Cutting Social Security that you’ve paid for your entire life while cutting taxes for the very wealthy. Dictating what health care decisions women can make, banning books and telling people who they can love. All while making it more difficult for you to be able to vote. When I ran for president four years ago,” he added, “I said we were in a battle for the soul of America. And we still are.”
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump, front-runner for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, has already predicted that President Joe Biden won’t “make it to the gate” in the general election.

In a recent interview with far-right news outlet Breitbart, Trump said, “He’s a bad guy,” referring to Biden. “But in his life, he’s always been able to convince people he’s this really nice guy. I laugh when they say, ‘Trump is the evil one, and he’s the nice one.’ That’s the one thing he’s been able to do.” He continued, “All you have to do is look at his credentials. The guy can’t talk. The guy can’t put two sentences together. So I do think this: I cannot believe he’s going to be the nominee. I don’t think that Biden will make it to the gate,” Trump asserted.
Despite what many may think, Biden appears to be confident about where America stands and where he stand as the president of the country.
