NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy stated that the league is “aware of the video” and has “no further comment at this time.”
It looks like there may be a big fine on the way for an NFL owner after the league has acknowledged that they are aware of the alleged misdeed at the end of a recent televised football game.
According to ESPN, although there was no official comment from the National Football League, it is aware that the owner of the Carolina Panthers, David Tepper, was seen allegedly throwing a drink into a crowd while his team was visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars on Dec. 31. The incident took place as his team lost to the Jaguars in a shutout 26-0 loss.
A video reveals that Tepper, not looking happy, emptied the contents of what was in his cup in the direction of some fans who were seated right outside the suite he was occupying during the game at EverBank Stadium.

A spokesperson for the Panthers declined to comment, and NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy stated that the league is “aware of the video” and has “no further comment at this time.”
It is unknown what caused him to make such a drastic move, but his team has the worst record in the league as the season winds down. The Panthers are now 2-14 after losing this contest.
Tepper has already fired the head coach who started this season with the team, Frank Reich after the Panthers had a record of 1-10. Last season, he fired head coach Matt Rhule after the team started the season with a 1-4 record. In less than six years of purchasing the team, he has also fired Ron Rivera and interim coaches Perry Fewell, Steve Wilks, and Chris Tabor.
To make matters worse, even though the Panthers have the worst record, they won’t even have the No. 1 draft pick due to giving the Chicago Bears that pick to obtain their current quarterback, Bryce Young.
