‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 Trailer Breakdown

Director Sriram Raghavan has become a trailblazer in the Indian film industry. In the last two decades, he has been consistently reinventing his craft with unique story structures and captivating anti-hero characters. Raghavan’s penchant for crafting stories similar to intricate jigsaw puzzles has set him apart. His latest venture, Merry Christmas, starring Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif and versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi, promises to be another mind-bending experience for audiences.

As excitement builds for Merry Christmas, audiences can expect another unique movie experience. Raghavan’s track record of creating out-of-the-box stories and shaping complex anti-hero characters suggests that Merry Christmas will once again defy expectations and keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Check out the trailer here:

1. Andhadhun

Released in 2018, Andhadhun is a black comedy crime thriller that follows the story of Akash Saraf, a blind pianist played by Ayushmann Khurrana, who unwillingly becomes involved in a murder mystery. Sriram Raghavan weaves a complex story where fraud, crime, and a web of lies challenge the protagonist’s journey. Tabu, Radhika Apte, and Anil Dhawan deliver stellar performances in this dark and unpredictable tale.

2. Badlapur

The 2015 film Badlapur takes audiences on a rollercoaster ride of revenge. Starring Varun Dhawan as Raghu Purohit, the movie follows the consequences of a bank robbery gone wrong, leading to the death of Raghu’s wife and son. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, and Yami Gautam add to the intense plot as Raghu seeks justice in his own brutal way. Sriram Raghavan’s storytelling prowess is evident in the film’s neo-noir aesthetic and exciting character development.

3. Agent Vinod

In 2012, Sriram Raghavan started into the action spy genre with Agent Vinod, featuring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The film takes viewers on a global adventure as Agent Vinod fights a conspiracy involving international terrorists and a looming threat of a nuclear attack on India. Raghavan’s knack for creating suspenseful narratives and dynamic action sequences is evident throughout the film.

4. Ek Hasina Thi

Released in 2004, Ek Hasina Thi shows the journey of Sarika, played by Urmila Matondkar, who faces betrayal and imprisonment planned by her lover. The film takes a thrilling turn as Sarika changes herself in prison and seeks revenge against those who wronged her. Sriram Raghavan’s narrative brilliance and Matondkar’s powerful performance make this mysterious thriller a standout in Indian cinema.

5. Johnny Gaddaar

Sriram Raghavan’s 2007 offering, Johnny Gaddaar, delves into the world of crime and lies. Neil Nitin Mukesh makes his film debut in this dark thriller where a group of individuals runs a gambling club, and a seemingly straightforward deal takes a dark turn. With a strong story and unexpected twists, the film showcases Raghavan’s mastery of the noir genre.

In the world of Sriram Raghavan, where every story is a puzzle waiting to be solved, Merry Christmas promises to be a treat for cinema enthusiasts, showcasing the director’s unique storytelling prowess and his ability to redefine genres. The film’s plot remains shrouded in mystery, but one thing is certain – audiences can prepare to be caught off-guard yet again by the master storyteller’s latest creation.
