RHOSLC alum Jen Shah threatens to sue Heather Gay and Bravo for slander and defamation following black eye revelation. Get all the tea!
Jen Shah is threatening to sue her former RHOSLC co-star Heather Gay, as well as Bravo and Andy Cohen.
The disgraced RHOSLC OG says she will sue for slander and defamation if she is directly accused of giving the Beauty Lab + Laser owner a black eye at the upcoming Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 4 reunion.
On Thursday, a rep for Jen, who is currently imprisoned for fraud, told Page Six that their client “caught wind” of the reunion trailer. Because of the “wording” used during the reunion, Jen “is most likely going to seek legal action” against Heather, Andy, and Bravo.
“If in the final cut of the three-part RHOSLC reunion, Heather makes any direct reference to Jen Shah giving her the black eye, legal action will be taken by the Shah family against Andy Cohen, NBC Universal, Bravo, Shed Media, and Heather for slander and defamation,” the rep explained.
In the trailer for the RHOSLC season 4 reunion, Andy directly asks Heather if “Jen gave [her] the black eye?”
Heather replies, “Yeah,” prompting the Bravo executive to ask her to detail “how it happened.”
During the RHOSLC season 4 finale on Tuesday, Heather confirmed that Jen was the one who gave her a black eye.
“I went on [a] book tour and defended her and took s— for the fact that she gave me a black eye,” the RHOSLC OG quipped.
Heather continued, “I had to ride hard for [Jen], and I had to lie for her. We’re not going to do it again with you.” She then told Monica to “pack her bags and go.”
Jen’s rep notes that Heather didn’t actually use Jen’s name and didn’t specify how she got the shiner.
“Heather makes reference to ‘she’ giving her a black eye but does not mention Jen Shah’s name,” the rep said, adding that they will most likely take legal action if Heather directly accuses Jen of giving her the black eye at the RHOSLC season 4 reunion.
The rep also accused Bravo of taking “an ‘out of context’ clip to suggest that Shah was the culprit behind her black eye.”
During the RHOSLC season 3 cast trip to San Diego, Heather woke up with a black eye after a long night of late-night partying. Initially, it was unclear how Heather got the black eye, as the incident occurred when the cameras were down for the night.
Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion airs on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
