Tamra Judge reveals that she never wants to work with former RHOC co-star Gretchen Rossi again, i.e., Tammy Sue doesn’t want Gretchen to get her orange back!
During season 17 of the Real Housewives of Orange County, Tamra Judge returned to the fold after a two-year hiatus from the show. Tamra was fired from RHOC in January 2020 and spent the next two years dying to get her orange back.
The 56-year-old is a prime example of a Real Housewife who can leave the franchise and later return due to their unwavering ability to bring it or flaunt that Housewives lifestyle fans want to see on the show. Heather Dubrow, Bethenny Frankel, and NeNe Leakes are other great examples.
Season 18 of RHOC may see the return of former star Alexis Bellino, which only further proves that everything old is new again. It also means that fans can’t get enough of former Housewives and will ususally take them over new and unfamiliar rookies.
While Tamra is A-okay with Alexis returning to the fold, she is not cool with the idea of Gretchen Rossi getting an orange again.
On the December 21 episode of Tamra and Teddi Mellencamp’s Two Ts in a Pod podcast, they answered Bravo fan questions. One fan wanted to know which Housewives they would never work with again.
Teddi Mellencamp says she’d be fine working with any of her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars.
However, Tamra couldn’t say the same. Tamra admitted that she would never work with Gretchen again, which isn’t surprising considering their complicated history.
“Who I wouldn’t work with that’s been fired from my show would obviously be Gretchen,” Tamra said.
It seems that the feeling is mutual, as Gretchen previously called Tammy Sue a “one trick pony” and said she’d only return to RHOC if Tamra wasn’t on the show.
“I made it pretty clear that the one person that I wouldn’t really enjoy being around anymore is Tamra. I mean, I think everyone knows that about me and her relationship. For me, personally, she just was too much of a pot stirrer. And she just made up lies and manipulated things. And I just don’t like that,” Gretchen told Access Hollywood in 2021.
More recently, Gretchen said it would take a major payday for her to return to RHOC.
“They’d have to pay me like millions of dollars,” Gretchen told The Messenger in September 2023. “Heather [Dubrow] keeps asking me to, and I’m like, ‘Okay, have [Bravo] call me!’”
While Tammy Sue doesn’t want Gretchen back on RHOC, she’s giving Alexis her seal of approval.
“There’s a lot of talk about Alexis coming back,” Tamra told Access Hollywood in November 2023. “Her and I recently made amends and talked for a very long time at BravoCon. And I wouldn’t mind seeing her come back.”
Filming for season 18 of the Real Housewives of Orange County is expected to begin in January or February 2024.
RHOC will return for season 18 in mid-to-late 2024.
